There is no such thing as a “celebrity club med type” prison. That is a myth. You’re watching too much TV. Prison — state or federal — is hell. Nothing less. He’ll likely be held in solitary for several months before he gets mainlined (permanently placed in prison). Until then, he’ll likely remain in the county jail, which could take several months. He will NOT be treated like a celebrity in prison. The staff will make sure of that. Even though he spent 18 months or so in county jail during the 1st trial, that is NOTHING compared to what he is facing, going to prison.

And yes, it is safe to say that he will be spending the rest of his natural life in prison. And I don’t think Nevada has family visits (not called “conjugal” anymore). Only about four states do, and they have strict limits on them, depending on your crime.

Motions to leave them free pending sentencing, and motions to extend the time limit to file a motion for a new trial... both denied.

The minimum on just the kidnapping charge is 15 years, five years before the first parole hearing.
