Attorney General Gorelick? (Vanity)

Attorney General Gorelick?

Could the creator of the "wall of separation" between foreign and domestic investigations become the next Attorney General

of the United States? Would you trust a person who's up to her elbows in the current financial upheaval to persue due diligence in

the FBI's investigation of the key players in that debacle? Would President Obama, himself the number two beneficiary of Freddie Mac

and Fannie Mae's political largesse, allow his Attorney General to prosecute these cases? Would you have faith in the advise and

consent capacity of a Senate composed of nearly 60 Democrats, among them Christopher Dodd and Hillary Clinton, themselves the

recipients of huge campaign donations from the failed entities in question?

The prospect of a Barack Obama Presidency brings with it the spectre of a Cabinet composed of a rogue's gallery of the

movers and shakers that have rocked the economy to a point where Big Liberal Government may penetrate the American economy

in ways that make the New Deal look like child's play. Secretary of the Treasury Franklin Raines? A Secretary of Transportation with

a zealot's hatred of fossil fuels and a desire to see $5 a gallon gas shape the market in ways that no amount of contrived social en-

gineering ever could? A Secretary of Health and Human Services, handpicked by Hillary Clinton, with designs on the conquest of

another 7% of the American economy, the health care industry? Ambassador to the United Nations Bill Clinton? A Secretary of

State predisposed to elevate the likes of Hugo Chavez to the prestige of an American President? A Secretary of the Interior bearing

Al Gore's seal of approval? A Seretary of Education willing to move curricula in directions that would make Jocelyn Elders blush? A

Secretary of Defense willing to accept defeat in the current War on Terror and unlikely to see other threats that rise to the level of

grave danger to our continued existence as anything more than matters to be dealt with by the United Nations and the State Depart-

ment?

Picture your hometown's newspaper after the next State of Union Address. The obligatory photo of President Obama, flanked

by Vice President Biden and Speaker of the House Pelosi. While a sock-puppet media portrays Sarah Palin as a woman woefully out

of her depth, Ms. Pelosi has demonstrated, at the helm of the U.S. House of Representatives, that when the going gets tough, all you

have to do is turn out the lights and go home. Under her guidance, we've seen gasoline double in price, with it's attendant impact on the

price of food. If we've seen no attempt on her part to bring San Francisco values to mainstream America, it's only because she knows

that President Bush would defeat those efforts. No such worries with President Obama. The upcoming election will be a watershed

battle in America's Culture War. In debate on the Senate floor this week, Senator Obama invoked FDR's admonition that the only thing

we have to fear is fear itself. It is my confirmed belief that the liberal leadership in this country, with the mainstream media firmly in

their grasp, have mastered our fears, and are prepared to unleash them upon us. They have waited and watched...through Y2K and the

election of 2000; through the attacks of September 11th, 2001 and the build-up to the War on Terror, they have gauged our responses,

felt our pain, and fanned the flames of angst which many rightly feel. They have bided their time, and now they see victory within their

grasp...the prospect of One Party Rule, in a time of crisis, be it real, or perceived, with the powers of the Patriot Act, with a militarized

civil police force, with a population that's been Michael Moore'd into a fit of hatred for American values.

I am loath to attribute to perfidy what can largely be explained by simple greed on the part of its' principles and preoccupation

with the matters of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness on the part of the American people, and reluctant to propose the existence

of a vast left wing conspiracy, but I see the hand of the Clintons guiding our destiny. It may be a stretch to attribute this kind of social

puppetry to a man that couldn't diddle an intern and zip up his pants without getting caught in his zipper, and his manipulative wife,

but the evidence is compelling. The contrivances to have Hillary in the driver's seat when the wolf arrived at the door was thwarted

only by the ascendancy of Barack Obama. To the Democratic Party apparatus, hijacked by the Far Left, one Saul Alinsky disciple in

the Oval Office is as good as another, and relegating the Clinton's to lesser roles is desirable. They are, however, gambling that the

general response to their desired goals will be one of continued complacency and compliance..."...more disposed to suffer, while evils

are sufferable." Of this, I am less than certain.

Preaching to the choir, I know, but I wanted to get it off my chest. I haven't seen the country as animated as it should be since the amnesty debate.

I keep wondering where is the call for a special prosecutor, as there is no way the congress will investigate the largest scandal in the history of the nation. Especially a Rat congress.

Yeah...I was struck by the fact that Dodd, Hillary and Obama were big recipients from Fannie and Freddie. If there’s any justice this side of the hearafter, the only place any of these people would be anywhere near safe is the Oval Office.

Ya never know. Any of these Senate libs would likely be replaced by other, at first, unelected libs. If Obama wins, he’ll be replaced by God knows what in the Senate...any guesses? I’m afraid an Obama presidency is more than we could recover from.

I heard the other day that Ms. Gorelick had worked for Fannie may at a salary of a little over $500,000 and left with $26,000,000. The bio on her website says she was Vice Chair of Fannie Mae from 1997 to 2003. She is a Harvard elitist (see link below).

Jamie Gorelick

Apparently she did a horrible job and left with a 26 million dollar bonus. To me, something just doesn't look right here. I think there should be a thorough investigation to see if any laws were broken and if she (and Franklin Raines, $50 million bonuses) were not looting the agency. I do not trust the Republicans to investigate this, for they have their buddies on the take and would certainly whitewash this larceny.

If a Harvard education produces some one who cannot manage a corporation better than this, is a Harvard education overrated?

I am livid about this woman's ability to loot and then escape all blame. Does anyone else think something is fishy here?

Franklin Raines had a salary at Fannie Mae of over $700,000 and left with $50 million.

The country's best kept secret on why there will not be a fair investigation: there are Republicans that have been enriching themselves through the same types of scams.

apparently harvard is not overrated. if you can get your kid in, they too,
may have the opportunity through well placed friends to screw up in a
job and leave with 26,000,000 dollars.

Here will be your new ATTY Gen if the Messiah gets elected.

San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris.....Same heritage (half black/half white), same liberal ideology, and same cluelessness about the world.

Maybe. Ms. Gorelick has pretty much screwed up the whole country working behind the scenes. Maybe she likes it there. I’m sure she’ll have cover for any nefarious activities during an Obama Administration.

Upon further reflection, I think Obama would lean toward late 40’s or early 50’s aged lib jurists to continue his legacy of anti-American thought in perpetuity. The Clintons are just too old.

Does one actually have to be a lawyer to make the Supreme Court? - maybe a Professor Ayers or a Reverend Wright would suit Obama - in thinking it over Justice Hillary Clinton almost sounds bearable - almost........
