WASHINGTON (AFP) US President George W. Bush on Friday signed a mammoth economic rescue package aimed at saving troubled US banks and easing a credit crunch that he warned could spell disaster for the US public.
After campaigning for the bailout for two weeks and courting reluctant lawmakers in person and by telephone, Bush signed the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 before leaving Washington for the weekend.

President Bush,
You, sir, are a traitor and should immediately have impeachment proceedings initiated for the act of Treason against the United States of America.

I wish he’d leave for the next three and a half months and not come back at all, but I get the feeling he’s not done screwing us over just yet.

Can anyone get a list of firms and banks who will be the beneficiaries of this bailout? I've been searching but can't find one.
I'd like to compare a list of those who will be receiving bailout funds to those members of Congress who voted "Yea." Specifically, I'd like to see if any of them have any financial stake in the institutions being bailed out.

Bush has trampled on the Constitution. Yes and after today Washington will feel they will no longer be bound by the Constitution and its provisions to keep our nation free. If some people don't believe this then all I can say is go hide and watch. We are in unchartered waters now.
