Absolutely sickening. Our nominee, though I will hold my nose and vote for him, disgusts me.

First of all, this story does not have the correct title of the article.
Secondly, all of the McCain haters just seem to have just glossed over this part:
“McCain said the financial crisis would not alter his campaign promises to keep taxes low or to balance the federal budget by 2013.
“We can balance it by 2013 if we get our economy going again and don’t take measures which will harm our economy,” he said. “It depends on whether we have the will to do so or not and restraint of spending is a huge aspect of this.”
The Arizona senator, who often talks about the importance of a strong dollar, said he would do what he could to bolster the U.S. currency but declined to speculate about intervention.
“The first step that has to be taken is obviously we have to stop mortgaging our economy to China ... and asking them to finance our debt,” he said.”

I have no respect for Al Gore Junior. From the PMRC to his back stabbing of Dan Quayle to his defense of Bill Clinton to his claims of no controlling legal authority and a weak bladder to “everything that is down is up” to “I invented the internet” to this whole myth of man made global warming...
I want this foolish college dropout stoner defamed as Senator Joseph McCarthy was wrongfully discredited.

Some of the people McCain ‘respects’ really bothers me...Kennedy...Clinton....now Gore? The only person in this race who doesn’t live in a politically controlled bubble is Sarah Palin. Or at least she was if they haven’t ruined her already.

John McCain is trying to build a "big tent" by reaching out (maybe way-out in ALGORE's case) in a statesman-like approach. It's pretty hard to watch him take the shots without throwing any.
After the other guy has thrown everything he has, the question is whether McCain can become Rocky Balboa.....

Take solice that Sarah is only one heartbeat away from being president if they get elected.
I was not going to vote this year but have changed my mind and now will vote for Sarah Palin.
I think that McCain knows this and is using her to keep us true conservatives in line while he goes after the soft center.
I don't like it but I understand.

Glad to know he does...but I sure don’t. Hope McCain is not gonna turn out to be another Dubya who plays nice all the time and gets slapped down. I wish it was the other way around on the ticket as Palin/McCain.

You would think that he would keep his stupid pie hole shut on the day his CONSERVATIVE running mate is making an all out effort to save his sorry ass.

There are only two reasons any conservative would even think about voting for McCain.
1 - Sarah Palin
2 - He’s not Barack Obama

What planet is he from?
What language does he read?
Has he been imprisoned for the past 20 years?
How can he be so oblivious to what’s going on?

McWuss could've have this all wrapped up a month ago. A strong military If he had addressed the oil... drill here drill now and pay less (which 75% of the American citizen wants) Close the borders and deport illegals (which 70% of what the American citizen wants) Started naming names in the fanniefreddie fiasco BEFORE the meltdown!..(he always claims he fights corruption...this was lay-ed out for him...any FReeper could have pointed out the scumbags responsible for it and had the proof to use it. As soon as he was the Republican candidate he should have stopped all this bipartisan BS! AND ATTACKED....

The exact reason he is losing! A refusal to speak and expose the truth. Perhaps he doesn’t know the truth? You cannot respect those who are out to destroy you.

To me, it doesn't matter now. McCain lost my vote when he voted for this pig bailout bill. I never much liked him to begin with, but he was my alternative. He just proved to me he doesn't have the stones and I am sure as hell not going to reward him with a vote for what he just did to us.
Taxation without representation is the story here, 85% of the public wanted that bill to die and burn. The sob's voted it in anyway. McCain just killed himself off I think.
