Darn tootin. And Democrats are way worse than Republicans. But both parties are guilty of sin and excess, and by golly, neither one deserves the power they've taken. Yes, taken from the public. The public didn't "entrust" them to be thieving lying bastards. I've had it up to (hands above head) here with your Republican party. Good luck - I've watched it and the Democrats run this country into the ground with irresponsible spending, lies to the public, encouraging indebtedness, and in general ignoring financial reality while pretending they're "looking out for the public."
I have plenty of good regard for a handful of decent Congresspeople - but I have complete disrespect for the Republican Party, and it has earned that disrespect.
No. The 'Rats already got the political cover they wanted in the Senate. They got McCain to vote for this abomination, and that's all they were after all along. With both McCain and Obama voting for it, it is neutralized as a campaign issue. Now, all they have to do is put their corruption and complicity in creating the mess down the memory hole....no congressional investigation, no mention of it in the MSM, and once Obama gets in the White House, the FBI will be told, quietly, to drop their investigation.

Free speech IS welcome on FR. We debate, sometimes we argue over political ideas. Your son injected his ideas about homosexuality in a place where it didn’t belong. I believe he was asked to keep those ideas to himself, but he went on and on and on.

Technically, yes. But they won't. The Senate passed this pork TWICE, the first time, on Sept 23, on a 93-2 vote, with the two NAY votes coming from Democrats. (See H.R.6049)

When you’re in someone else’s house, you live by the house rules. Jim Robinson makes the rules.
He has the right to defend his gay friends, but when told to keep it to himself, he is expected not to post it here. If you want to call it lack of Free Speech, that’s fine, but better to learn the rules or risk a toss.
