We may now be in the minority. What do you think?

Another article from the same paper:

One Thought Pushes Fence-Sitters To The Left: Palin

Five weeks ago, the St. Petersburg Times convened a group of Tampa Bay voters who were undecided about the presidential election. Their strong distrust of Barack Obama suggested it was a group ripe for John McCain to win over.

Not anymore. The group has swung dramatically, if unenthusiastically, toward Democrat Obama. Most of them this week cited the same reason: Sarah Palin.

"The one thing that frightens me more than anything else are the ideologues. We've seen too many," said 80-year-old Air Force veteran Donn Spegal, a lifelong Republican from St. Petersburg, who sees McCain's new running mate as the kind of "wedge issue" social conservative that has made him disenchanted with his party....

This suggests a problem more fundamental than ineptitude at distributing lawn signs and assigning manpower....

That’s freaking hilarious.

Palin is all McCain has going for him right now. Anyone who buys the bilge in that article is too stupid to vote, anyway.

This “problem” (the idea of a mass of Republican voters turned off by social conservatism) is a media theme every election. Yet every election more Democrats are turned off by culture of death than Republicans by social conservatism. Besides, philosophically, capitalism without a moral order is not better than socialism.

those are the giuliani voters.

I see this with pro abortion republican women. (or women who are only republican by marriage)

They fear conservatives because of something in their lives they did and do not want to admit it was wrong. (for example an abortion)

Keep in mind the st pete times is FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR to the left in all aspects. This anecdote business is the stock and trade of the left. find a SINGLE point and say that makes a line.

LOL. You've said some stupid things before, but that one takes the cake. Sarah Palin is causing McCain's so-called sag in the polls in Florida based on the word of one old coot who thinks she's an "ideologue"?

There is precisely one ideologue in this race and his name is Barack Obama. You remember him, right? He's the guy you want to win.
