Second in a series about how politicians (Democrats) and community organizations (ACORN) caused the mortgage meltdown

And when are any in the main stream media going to really report on this?
It absolutely disgusting that the majority of people in this country apparently believe that all this is a result of Bush’s policies and “Republican greed” and that somehow the Democrats will “do a better job” fixing the problem - when it is they who were leading the country into this situation all along.

Root Causes Behind Wall Street’s Financial Woes

This is the first in a series illustrating that while Wall Street was not without responsibility for the mortgage crisis, government policy initiated it - and efforts by community advocates, as well as politicians, prevented attempts to correct the problem.
“It was reckless deregulation and lack of oversight that’s a big part of the problem on Wall Street right now,” said Barack Obama at a rally in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Blame for the current financial crisis has been leveled at Wall Street greed, deregulation, and the free-market system. However, government policies - formulated and promoted more than 30 years ago by community organizations like those affiliated with Barack Obama - are the root cause of the problem.

Democrats Blocked Mortgage Regulations
By Michael P. Tremoglie, The Bulletin

Editor’s Note: This is the second in a series illustrating that while Wall Street was not without responsibility for the mortgage crisis, government policy initiated it - and efforts by community advocates, as well as politicians, prevented attempts to correct the problem.
Although Democratic politicians have said free-market economics and deregulation is to blame for the current Wall Street crisis, evidence exists showing they themselves were not blameless.
An analysis of their actions, and prior statements, shows a sharp contradiction with their current rhetoric. Presently, advocates of the $700 billion bailout say it would not have been necessary had regulators kept a closer eye on the mortgage industry.
However, during Monday’s House debate about the rescue plan, which was rejected in a bipartisan vote, Republicans pointed to their party’s past efforts to reform the industry - efforts blocked by Democrats. In the process, 95 Democrats also voted against the plan.
Someone at YouTube nicknamed this scandal
If the folks at the media hear it is being described that way, they will go crazy trying to prove it isn't the Democrat's fault.
As they do that, more Democrat dirty laundry will be exposed.
Democrats Blocked Mortgage Regulations = Banksters
Chuck Shumer, we just tore down the house.
The media is busy covering this up with all the tools at their disposal.
Down the memory hole with this story!
I have been printing out these articles and handing them out at work to select people.
Several people have been turned around due to this education. You actually have to show them the relevant parts of the articles. Most people are not intelligent enough to read the whole article and form smart conclusions.
If we all educated just one person, it could change everything.
I am not a Wall St. cheerleader by any means but lets get real here. They are bankers, they live to make money, that is their lifeblood! I think the government is more to blame than Wall St. It is their ridiculous social engineering and vote buying that gave the bankers the rope to hang themselves.
I hate it but I believe that this bail out will pass however, that does not necessarily mean the fight is over. I think it is just one battle in the war. Our next battle should be to take out the ones responsible. Keep hammering that we want names, resignations and jail for those who put us in this situtation. Do not let them forget who’s paying for this!
