WASILLA, Alaska -- The valley where Sarah Palin was raised is vast and tree-packed, and so quiet that once, when Palin's parents left a door open in their antler-festooned house, a moose poked its nose into their den.
You can't blame the moose for being curious. The wood-plank loft home of Chuck and Sally Heath is known for its odd, bristling lawn art. A towering sculpture of bleached antlers sits by the driveway. Bright buoys and fishing lures dangle from silver birch trees. But this riot of objects is merely a warm-up for the interior: Fox pelts. Orca teeth. Bear fangs. Owl wings. A brown, bony thing with a huge span occupies the living room wall. "That's a walrus scapula," Chuck Heath says brightly.
The unusual collection has been amassed over a lifetime by the inspiring Heath, a hard-chested, cinch-waisted 70-year-old retired public school science teacher and an inveterate naturalist. Children skitter in and out of doors: Palin's daughter Piper is newly arrived from New York. Piper's cousin, a small boy named Heath, hums to himself beneath the snarling pelt of a grizzly bear.
"Can I have a soda?" the child asks. "I want a soda."
"Did you earn it?" Chuck asks sternly.
That's how it goes in the Heath home, and how it has always gone. It's a household that explains much about Palin, 44, and how she acquired her set-jawed, swaggering demeanor, one that her mother first noticed "about the time she started to walk." Above all, the house suggests how she came by her dissident, out-of-category feminism, a code by which she tackles old-boy networks relentlessly, while remaining blank if not unsympathetic on traditional women's issues with a capital W, such as sexism in the workplace.

There shall be a scathing one after the debate.
But this too is a ruse. They are afraid she may actually do well tomorrow night and they have to be ready. In other words, if the `story goes right from ``I can see Russia from my house`` to Sarah kicking ass in the debate, they will have too much egg on their face. They want to pre-empt any victory she may achieve. Am I wrong about this?? Maybe I`m way off but it seems like the media line of the last 24 hours has been to say `Hey Sarah may do ok after all, don`t underestimate her`. This will be remembered as the campaign when the old Media lost all of its cred.
Sheesh! And to think Dad would shoot a Moose on a family outing just to get meat in the icebox.
Ive mentioned this before but it bears repeating.
Had a few friends over for beer and dominos awhile back. All fairly recent political refugees from Cuba and they all disliked Obama, kind of liked McCain but loved Sarah.
One said in broken English, “She is real American people”....
Something for all of us to think about.

Sarah has more experience than Obama and they have done nothing but torn this great woman to shreds. What's their angle this time to "pretend" to be nice to Sarah Palin?
Palin is going to rip Biden a new one tomorrow and they lib idiots know it!
What next? Did someone with children at WaPo suddenly realize what 'tomorrow' means in Obamaspeak? Was it the 'kids sing for Obama'? A desperate need to puff her up; before debate; so the can drop her on her head, the next morning?
Oh well, too many questions, for sure. . .
Hers IS an amazing story and life; it is the story of 'roots' that our opposition inauthentically claims. But Sarah IS nothing but 'authentic'; and so is hated for it.
This is the 'Walton Family' living a Northern Exposure' life. Hollywood was good with the ideas; just not the realities here.
Sarah is a kick-back to America's fundamental, core values. . .a revisiting, our Country desperately needs so as to move forward, in the best possible ways, into a very challenging future.

This is the Washington Post we're talking about. It's probably already written.
They are just going to drop in a few lines from the actual debate and put it to press.
In this election, odd as it is for the media to pose the veep of one side to the media favored pres candidate of the side, we are seeing if our real, Governor Sarah Palin, can trump the democrat fake, fabricated man, Barack'ACORN'Obama. I do not recall an election in my lifetime where the media has gotten away with this bait and switch, this misdirection play.
Truly, we are discovering that the media in this Republic have become the covert enemy fifth column seeking to herd the masses.
It wasn't enough for media leftists to merely be rabid secular socialist opinion pushers, they have lept over the line to take up active attacking of our Republic and anything conservative.
Let's pray that our fellow moderate and conservative Americans will get off their 'watching from afar' butts and vote to preserve the nation and reject the socialism/Marxism of Barack'ACORN'Obama.
Jack Anderson was fond of touting We The People as the true sovereigns of the United States. If he were alive today, I think he would be shocked at how easily the sovereigns are being usurped by vote cheating and minstream media propaganda aimed at ushering in a Marxist 'leader'. The video of the children being brain washed to worship Obama, in a manner seen in Stalin's Soviet UNion, or in North Korea, or Nazi Germany (Jack lived in that era) would infuriate that man!

I am praying that the Lord will stop this somehow! the GOP took this to court THREE times and lost, and petitioned the SoS (a big-time Kennedy Dem) for Poll watchers and were denied! They are BUSSING people in, homeless, college kids, (OSU) and one man on camera said that he was from Illinois!!
Yet I know that none of this has taken Our Lord by surprise! He’s our ONLY hope to thwart this on sooo many fronts! I pray he will have mercy to save us from ourselves!
