Is this a Democracy or a dictatorship?

This was just reported on the John and Ken show, KFI, Los Angeles AM radio 640.

In addition, this is also being reported on several other websites such as this one.

The media has been perpetrating a huge lie all day that the constituents have changed their minds and have been urging their reps to vote for it!

Why couldn’t they pass legislation that piece mealed things? Durning that coarse of time they could have made a more rash chose and seen what results came of the piecemeal prospects.....

The FEAR is inciting action that I think is inappropriate.

I’d rather have a Republic, but they didn’t even read the Bill.

Why pass a imperfect bill? I’m gonna send in a ‘imperfect’ tax return this year.

Now will people start believing this was NOT about the economy and ALL ABOUT A POLITICAL SET-UP from the get-go?

Dems will kill the economy to pump up Obama’s numbers.

This bill will get killed in the House, Dow will drop another K and the opposition candidate’s numbers will rise in response.

Do you think Feinstein cares about the calls that came in? They just looked at them as a nuisance.

By the way, she will win handily in California the next time she runs because all the calls and all the BS mean nothing when it comes to the voting booth.

This is sick but, it is true.

Also mentioned several times here on Free Republic;

Here' s one of them:

To: Arkinsaw

Feinstein said her office had fielded 91000 calls and 86000 were “against” the bill. She went on to say they “just don’t understand it” so I am going to vote for it!

Typical ‘senatorial’ hubris. Obviously, she in not part of the 1/3 of the Senate up for re-election in 34 days!

Notice what I highlighted that Feinstein said.

What a self-absorbed traitor to her constituents and this country.

It certainly show how politicians don't care what the people want, they vote their politics and pocketbooks.

Feinstein represents the leftist Democrats. She has no interest in representing California or the people living in California.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) voted yea despite receiving 85,000 calls against it -- out of 91,000 total calls.

Of the 6000 remaining calls, well over half were "Die, b!tch, die!"

1. FBI calling all cars 2. FIRE PAULSON 3. Perp walk bad guys and make them pay restitution. (stuff like that as opposed to these phony bills where we have the prez and congress, media, et al playing the American people like violins.)

The answer here is the GOP needs to make the Dem House members pass this thing tomorrow. We few or no GOP votes.

Then the GOP can run against the incumbent Dem House members on this issue.

And win big.

I’m not sure why McCain couldn’t reach this same conclusion.

“Is this a Democracy or a dictatorship?”

A republic, though one in which influential multinationals and foreign states have more influence than actual voters...

Silly me. I thought in a representative democratic republic, we elected legislators and expected them to vote according to their knowledge, understanding and opinion as to what is best for the country.

I didn’t think Congresscritters were SUPPOSED to wet their finger to see which way the electorate is blowing and simply do what the masses want. Huh.

I guess I don’t remember anything from Civics class. I’ll have to go take a refresher course.
