this state is stuck on evil.I looked at the demographics 8 years ago and concluded that my vote no longer mattered. Further, it would continue to be marginalized by the steady stream of illegals. Moving to Idaho put my vote back in the majority. It's so much better on a variety of levels.

Boxer is one of the stupidest people in the Senate. It’s hard to out do Biden though. He talks about his experience, but he’s wrong more often than he’s right.
Stand up Chuck!

you should see my u.s. congress woman.
stupid beyond belief.
her husband skied into a tree and his will left her the u.s. congressional seat. si.
she’s r-e-a-l popular with the valley’s wealthy,
there are legions of millionaires here,
and she appears all dolled up at their galas.
everybody likes her, including the local communist gannett newspaper.

Moving to Idaho put my vote back in the majority. In 8 years, the illegal population in Idaho has probably doubled or tripled since 2000. That trend will continue. Much like everywhere else.
In addition, it was just 4 short years ago that well over one MILLION *more* Californians voted for Bush, than did Texans.
That being said, the Republicans, or anyone for that matter is free to write off what ever they choose.

No doubt. That's why I said that 300,000 probably attempted the call, but only 85,000 got through.
The phone lines must have been smoking hot.

1. FBI calling all cars 2. FIRE PAULSON 3. Perp walk bad guys and make them pay restitution. (stuff like that as opposed to these phony bills where we have the prez and congress, media, et al playing the American people like violins.)

They’re trying to break this country. It’s much faster if they bankrupt everyone at once.

The answer here is the GOP needs to make the Dem House members pass this thing tomorrow. We few or no GOP votes.
Then the GOP can run against the incumbent Dem House members on this issue.
And win big.
I’m not sure why McCain couldn’t reach this same conclusion.

This is some creepy communist crap going on here. Funny you should mention that.
Feinstein's husband Richard Blum has made BILLIONS dealing with China with the help of his wife's legislation.
Been going on for over a decade.
Corrupt, bad to the bone.

“Is this a Democracy or a dictatorship?”
A republic, though one in which influential multinationals and foreign states have more influence than actual voters...
To: dragnet2
Silly me. I thought in a representative democratic republic, we elected legislators and expected them to vote according to their knowledge, understanding and opinion as to what is best for the country.
I didn’t think Congresscritters were SUPPOSED to wet their finger to see which way the electorate is blowing and simply do what the masses want. Huh.
I guess I don’t remember anything from Civics class. I’ll have to go take a refresher course.

I've got news for Barack Obama. Wealth is and always will be a trickle-down phenomenon unless we completely throw capitalism under the bus as most recent pols on both sides of the aisle have done. Maybe we should quit deluding ourselves- socialism has indeed won. The republic is lost and democracy is a bad idea that will never last longer than in takes people to breed themselves into a majority and vote to take wealth away from those who are wealthy. For the clueless out there, this has already occurred. Typically when this occurs the wealthy usually find a way to move their assets out of the failed country (NAFTA, global economy, relocating factories overseas, open borders to allow cheap illegal labor to support remaining businesses) and leave a mountain of debt for those left holding the bag. Sound familiar, fellow bag holders? Technology is the only thing that allows those at the lower end of the economic scale to sense “prosperity” and absent entrepreneurs willing to risk capital to create technology no “prosperity” will ever be realized by this poor lot. While it is indeed sad that these poor people who sought the American dream are now living the American nightmare, it was to be expected when the cost of a good surpasses one's ability to pay. Duhhhh! BTW, there is technology that has helped poor people get homes and sense “prosperity”- it's called the mobile home.
