As far as I know, from reading the Constitution, isn't this unconstitutional to begin with, for the Senate to write and pass this bill? These matters are for the House to address aren't they?

Plus I keep hearing Senators Obama and McCain both spoke, but that isn't true. Obama droned on and on and on, and the left McCain NOT speaking at all. Not that he wouldn't vote for it, but he wasn't allowed to speak.

This is some creepy communist crap going on here.

Do you think Feinstein cares about the calls that came in? They just looked at them as a nuisance.

This is really no different than than the state of our borders.

Americans have screamed, voted, protested, wrote millions of letters and emails to no avail. Our borders are still out of control, with little if anything being done, as most of the ruling class in D.C. continue to aid and abet this invasion. Next up in the future? Amnesty for millions, knowing millions more will continue to pour in illegally.

What is there was a major tax revolt - everyone just send in black 1040s next spring or write on them “pay my taxes out of the bailout funds”. I am so angry and disgusted. I feel like we are a communist country now. What the little people want doesn’t matter. Let us eat cake!

Unable to build hospitals? LOL

Next they’ll tell us they are unable to build oil refineries. Oh, wait...never mind.

And after the election it will be Reparations for Slavery. You can count on it. Imagine the cost of that program.

Feinstein represents the leftist Democrats. She has no interest in representing California or the people living in California.

“...that’s our own difi,

the wife of a billionaire,

member of the the “democratic” party.

democrat, not....”

She sure has been laying low since the news was released about the war business she steered to her husband.

You bet, just like Boxer, from New York, Pelosi from Maryland, and Former Governor Davis from...New York.

Much like the rest of our Federal government in regards to many other issues.

Oh, didn’t you know? The senate took a bill that originated in the house, gutted it, voided all its contents, then rewrote it! That way, the bill originated in the house!

Never underestimate the ability of 100 lawyers to circumvent the constitution.

This was just a message/bribe from the Senate to the House.

That is my take too, but do most Americans even know that? Doubtful. Glad to see you do.

I am not surprised by the percentages, but I don’t this is reflective of the overall American preference. Only the people who are upset with something take the time to call or email. If you are undecided or OK with the bailout, I doubt you would take time to contact your representative.

Last week, it was about 75% opposed. But by yesterday, only 34% were opposed. Another 35% were for the bailout. And the rest undecided. So voter sentiment changed pretty quickly.

That may explain why some of the polls are now starting a trend back to McCain.

It probably will fail in the House, as that has been the plan all along. If America lets these crooks get away with this, we WILL regret it! McCain better get off his bipartisan high horse and start saying that, and clarifying the crisis, exactly what it was, and who caused it, or he will lose. Americans aren't smart enough ( half of them) to know that Libs/communists are the worst possible remedy for the economy.

I would say rather than writing that, we should write “The new revolution Taxation without representation”

You don't what?

85,000 against, 6000 for, in a very small amount of time, in one state, to one Senator, does not make it clear to you what the average American supports? I suggest you tune out of whatever government propaganda machine you're listening to.

Bet ya a cup of coffee there were over 300,000 calls against, but only 85,000 were able to get through.

That's the whole problem in WA, way to many lawyers, and their defendants are themselves, who they always get off.
