McCain, Obama, Lieberman, and Biden have voted for the bailout. No word yet on Graham.
That's a huge defeat for the bad guys - let's see what our guys in the House can do to mitigate the rest of the socialist crap.
“your a bit fat anyway” LOL How did you know that!
Whatever are left, I suppose. Hard to figure out what they are. Best fellow freepers have been able to tell me is McCain's promise to appoint good judges.
You know President Obama will gun for (no pun intended) the Second Amendment within the first hundred days, if not within the first hundred hours, of his four year term. It’s settled now—Juan stabs us with his vote, and Palin, as much as I like and respect her, will come off like a female Stockdale in the debate. No matter how well she actually does, the in-the-tank media already has written the script for her defeat.
On the positive side, looks like Global Warming was a hoax—it sure was a cool summer, wasn’t it?—but don’t tell Al Gore that, it might depress him.
Thanks. I feel down right now due to this, but I’ll pick myself up and redouble my efforts to get Palin in the White House, and Congress back to Republicans. They might not all deserve it, but the alternative of a Pelosi-Reid led Congress frightens and pisses me off.
If McCain doesn’t do well, Palin may not get another chance.
Woohoo!
I believe, but not certain, Olde Teddy. I cannot find the final list online yet.
Looter guy was there OH MANNNNN
Well which state he represent his own Lousiana
McCain promised that if a bill laden with pork crossed his desk, he would reject it and he would name names. A bill crossed his desk with more pork in it than all the world's sausage factories combined. Given that the bill was going to pass anyway, what could he have lost by voting against it for the stated reason that it was loaded with pork?
IMHO, he could have turned the election significantly in his favor had he done that. Instead, his vote showed that McCain = McSame.
Ahhhhh, so McCain voted AYE so the media wouldn't destroy him.
Goodbye, principle.
Hello, President Obama!
He must not have had his “magic veto pen” handy......
Fifth Plank of Marx’s Communist Manifesto: Centralization of credit in the hands of the State.
Joe voted on Rosh Hashana?
Impeach (insert president’s name here) in 2009!
McCain thought he didn’t really have a choice but to vote for it, just like many of the conservative Republicans.
But, they did.
Hopefully the House GOP plan will advance, and the Senate will be able to re-vote on a new plan.
We do need a bill of some sort.
But, this is only the first step, and even the tiniest change must be re-voted on with a conference committee as well.
I am not going to freak out about this.
No reason in doing so, the odds of the Senate voting against this were virtually impossible.
NO, everyone does NOT oppose this. Have you been keeping up with the polls the last week?
Yes, last week it was 70-80% opposed. After the 777 drop on Monday, it was only 34% opposed. The rest were for it or undecided.
And it doesnt matter what we think in polls anyway. We have a representative democracy, right?
So trash McCain and help Obama. The world isnt fair nor perfect. Gotta do the best you can.
If McCain had voted against this, he would definitely be done in the election. The MSM and Obama would be running ads saying McCain is against saving the economy.
Since both McCain and Obama voted for this, it neutralizes the issue politically. Now McCain has got to get his message out who caused this.
Less than 5 weeks folks. And we are still in for a slew of bad economic news between now and November.
NO- we have a representative republic, not a democracy, get it straight already for there is a big difference between the two.
Kindly ignore your publik skool edukashen and the liberal media whores.
