NBC Goes To Hanoi To Interview McCain's Torturer For "Real" Story (MSM BARF Alert)

RUSH: Guess what NBC did last night, NBC Nightly News? They sent a reporter to Hanoi to find McCain's Hanoi Hilton torturer, to see if the torturer would confirm McCain's version of what happened. I am not kidding, ladies and gentlemen. I'm not kidding whatsoever. A new low has been reached. They also claim, by the way, that they've sent people to Chicago to find out about some of the things about Obama, but I'll be damned if I've seen it -- and they didn't uncover anything. We have two sound bites to illustrate this. A portion of the report from correspondent Ian Williams:

WILLIAMS: Lavan Lawa helped drag ashore a badly injured John McCain after his Skyhawk bomber was shot down and he parachuted into these shallow waters.

LAWA: (via translator) Everyone was excited because we got the pilot. Some people were shouting, "Beat him!"

WILLIAMS: But Nguyen Thi Thanh, now 81, took control. A nurse at a nearby clinic, she put splints on McCain's broken arms and leg and gave him antibiotics. In his memoir, McCain says she saved his life.

THANH: (via translator) Most people didn't say anything. But one old man with a stick said, "You're saving the enemy." I told him I was a nurse. I had to save lives.

RUSH: Then, shockingly, ladies and gentlemen -- shockingly! -- they tell us that the Hanoi Hilton "prison director" disputes McCain's recollection of torture. They portray a Hogan's Heroes-type situation. Here Ian Williams continuing his report.

WILLIAMS: McCain has given graphic accounts of beatings and torture in a prison system he's called "an extension of the battlefield." Tran Trong Duyet, the former prison director, remembers it differently.

DUYET: (via translator) During office hours, I would call him to my office and we would have fierce debates about the war. But after hours, we would talk as friends.

WILLIAMS: He says McCain helped teach him English, giving impromptu tests. What remains of the Hanoi Hilton has been turned into a museum, with plenty of space devoted to their most famous prisoner. But most Vietnamese have now moved on, as has John McCain. The possibility of a McCain presidency hasn't heightened curiosity about his story. In this overwhelmingly young country, the memory of the war is fading like the ancient facade of the Hilton.

RUSH: So he and McCain, they talk like friends that have fierce debates here about the war. Then they chatted up as friends, and then McCain helped teach him English, giving impromptu tests. Then why did the guy need a translator here for the NBC report? Why didn't he speak this English that McCain supposedly taught him? But just the premise of this: to go back and talk to communist prison guards to try to verify McCain's version of events! Let me ask this, folks. Did they go to Cambodia to interview any of the soldiers about John Kerry's claims? They didn't. They just defended Kerry and they attacked the swift boat guys. Did they go to Chicago to delve into Obama's ties to terrorists and real estate frauds? No. And did they go investigate his ties to the church? No! They still have not done that, and they won't. Did they follow up on any of Joe Biden's lamebrain claims during his long and not-illustrious career? No, they did not, they have not, and they will not. But they have to go back to Hanoi and check and see if McCain's version stands up to what the North Vietnamese torturer remembers. No mention of torture in this report, none whatsoever. Just this impression: "Hey, you know, we'd have fierce debates about the war and then we'd talk as friends at the end of the day." Yeah, "In fact, these injuries, he must have fallen down while he was here, because we here don't remember inflicting any torture going on him!" This was not said, was not even addressed in the report. BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: By the way, folks, this NBC report last night on the torturer of John McCain, actually is a recycled piece originally done by the BBC in July. Andrew Harding from BBC News went over to Vietnam and talked to this torturer, who claims that he's a supporter of McCain. He'd vote for McCain if he had had the chance. But there's this little passage in the story from the BBC: "So is Mr Duyet implying that that Senator McCain lied about his treatment at the Hanoi Hilton? 'He did not tell the truth,' [McCain's torturer] says. 'But I can somehow sympathise with him. He lies to American voters in order to get their support for his presidential election.' But Mr Duyet's propaganda-perfect version of events is impossible to verify -- and should be treated with caution in a country where the Communist authorities still keep a tight control over the media."

Well, the BBC at least specifies that we can't verify what the torturer has told us (other than McCain is lying about this in order to get elected president), but NBC didn't include that. I'll tell you, this is journalistic malpractice. There is absolutely no doubt that journalism today has ceased to exist. There is no journalism today. There is pure, 100% advocacy-oriented agendas, and they're making no secret about it whatsoever. This is search-and-destroy, both McCain and Palin. I don't know that McCain has any idea what's going on. I don't know that he has any idea what's hitting him out there, 'cause there's a way to respond to this. You don't have to complain about the press. You just have to tell the story they're not telling. You just have to get out there and, you know, fill holes that they're leaving out, leaving empty.

If you think the MSM hasn't reached bottom yet, they confirmed it when NBC sent a correspondent to Hanoi to see if McCain's account of being tortured was "truthful." These people are sick to a depth we haven't seen in this country in our lifetime!

Has the MSM ever looked into the story that Obama supposedly shacked up with some woman when he was young and before he got married?

The MSM likes to look into Sarah Palin’s and McCain’s past...

Why not Obama’s past?

If not the MSM, then who will look?

They won’t stop until Zerobama is elected and then they will blame everything on Bush. I hope NBC goes away and SOON! It WOULD NOT be missed!

And you can bet they will give him cover to raise taxes on everyone to make up "for the last 8 years".

A lie the public will buy because that's why they voted for him.

This happened with Kerry, too, four years ago. The Leftist Media went to interview the Viet Cong instead of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.

Download Interview of James Simpson by Sandy Rios, Tuesday 9/30 - WYLL 1160AM, Chicago, IL
From http://www.culturecampaign.com/culturecorner.a spx

James Simpson is the former White House economist who has just published "Barack Obama & the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis" on AmericanThinker.com.

Simpson lays out the positioning of Barack Obama relative to the neo-Marxist plans of Saul Alinsky and Obama's implied relationship to the "Cloward-Piven Strategy" of generating national, financial crises, in order to turn the nation toward ever stricter socialism.

He also connects the dots of what this has to do with the "community organizers" of ACORN and Marxist power players, Frank Marshall Davis, William Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, etc. Simpson documents his research in his article using Web links and provides a rough flow chart.

Please do what you can truly do with this information, so McCain-Palin goes to the White House, not the Marxist Messiah.

But will they go to Indonesia and interview people about the Messiah? Did he pray in the mosques there? Just a thought.

This is beyond despicable.

Just what do these vicious creeps at NBC expect the torturer to say:

“Oh yes, I tortured John McCain for hours every day, and quite enjoyed myself”?

Why don't they go talk to other men who were in the Hanoi Hilton with McCain?

Of course not! When the MSM wants the “truth” they go and talk to the enemies of our country.

And Stay Tuned For Our Next Segment: Iranian Pres. Ahmadinejad will tell us the “truth” about why Jews are dirty!

I've predicted that a story about McCain collaborating with his commie torturers uh, housekeepers, will surface right after the McCain-Feingold restrictions on political free speech kick in.

I still stand by that prediction.

The footage of him coming home almost unable to walk and his inability to raise his hands above his head were all obvious birth defects overlooked before he was accepted to flight school.

You do have to suspend reality to believe the press.

They can openly engage in the treasonous actions they had to engage in on the sly back in 1968 now. There never was a peace movement on the Left with regard to Vietnam. They were PRO-Communist victory. They didn’t care what the South Vietnamese wanted. They wanted Communism for AmeriKKKa too.

It is no longer treasonous for them to champion the North Vietnmese. The war is over, thanks in part to their propaganda.

Axis Sally is due an apology for what the Media got away with in Vietnam.

I suppose they never mentioned that if Tran Trong Duyet said he did torture McCain that he’d be confessing to a war crime.

I’m sure that master debater Tran wouldn’t mind being tried in the International Criminal Court.

So I guess the fact that McCain can’t lift his arms up to use a keyboard was from excessive beer can tipping with his captors and not from beatings...?

Taylor Stockdale, son of Jim Stockdale was on FOX this morning. Why don't they ask Taylor about the torture his dad went through and what Admiral Stockdale had to say about McCain and his torture. Also, Ross Perot was instrumental in getting our POW's home. Why not ask him? He saw a lot. When I remember our heros coming home broken and battered, there is no question of what they went through.

Jim Stockdale took his wounds to the grave with him. I don't think that he was ever without pain. To think that they take the word of the enemy over our men....
