I hope this provides the final clue that’s needed to find remnants of the wreckage, and hopefully even to recover some remains. Prayers up for the family and friends of Fossett to finally have closure on their mourning.

Most pilots keep their license and medical certificates in their wallets. There is no mention of a wallet. This raises lots of questions. Hopefully the wonderful news media will expand this story.

It’s evident what happened. The Bernoulli Principle is really fourth level black magic. It only works if you truly believe in it, or if you carry a levitation talisman. Fossett probably dropped his FAA card out the window. When his ju-ju rubbed off, he crashed into Mammoth Lake.
That’s why the FAA mandates a minimum 12% of all passengers on commercial flights must be siddhi gurus. They can keep the plane aloft if the mass hypnosis snaps. Look it up.

i thought the weirdest thing about this whole story was that while they were searching for this guy, they actually found wreckage of 6 other missing plane crashes that had previously gone unnoticed.
the earliest one they found dated back decades if i remember correctly.

He was wearing a
t-shirt and sweatpants when he was last seen. If the sweatshirt they found is his, that would make sense since sweatpants and a sweatshirt usually go together. But why didn't he take his cell phone? And if the ten $100 bills they found were his, why did he take that?
Here is some really interesting updated information, including the name of the person who found the items.

Yes, yes, but did they find the.... INTERNET?

Mammoth Times
New discovery revives search for Fossett Shortly after noon today, Mono County Sheriff Search and Rescue teams will begin a search for the wreckage of lost air-adventurer Steve Fossett's plane, which went down in the California/Nevada area a year ago September. The search is based on discovery of a sweater and three of Fossett's aviation ID cards in the Minarets on Monday by Preston Morrow, a local hiker who works at Kittredge Sports. The search will begin on the John Muir Trail between Dorothy and Shadow Lakes. Prior searches focused on land east of the Glass Mountains.
The California Highway Patrol helicopter from Fresno will fly in the search teams.

There was a site set up on Google Earth set up with current satellite pictures. People were asked to search for a plane in the mountains. I’m not sure Mammoth was in the search area. Surprising that this stuff wasn’t found earlier since Mammoth is really popular
