The Los Angeles Times seems to have taken a sudden new interest in biblical study. No, they haven't become religious or anything close to that. Instead, they are microanalyzing the Bible for passages that they think they can use to slam Sarah Palin for running for vice-president. They are also searching the countryside to dig up the very few strongly religious Christians they can find who think Palin is wrong to run for public office. Let us now join Times reporter, Teresa Watanabe, as she begins her biblical studies in her story with an ulterior motive (emphasis mine):
In a white-steepled church along a stretch in picturesque canyon country, the preacher laid out the basic blueprint of a godly marriage: Husbands lead, wives submit.
See where this is going right from the get-go? The reporter is going to use the Bible to suggest to believers that Sarah Palin is violating the "basic blueprint of a godly marriage."

PING!
Someone needs to send them a copy of the Book of Esther if they want to go down this road.
Ahmadinejad probably doesn’t think any woman should run for office either
LA Times should interview him and see if his views can persuade some American voters
Ah, is Satan quoting scripture again?
I guess it’s the “old reliable” for him.
What these people do not know it that they are playing right into the hands of Christian conservatives and the more they bash Palin with the Bible the more they are going to pleases those who wouldnt vote for a Christian, because of pure prejudice, and the more they are going to solidify the conservative base and draw religious independents to McCain/Palin.
I’m sure the Times will get to the bottom of it. They’ll figure out everything in the Bible and let us know how things are REALLY going to end! /s
Only if the article used the words "courageous" and "principled" repeatedly.
Sarah’s response should be:
“I’ll let the L.A. Times submit these various Bible interpretations to the U.N., so they can sort out who’s right.”
“I know what I believe, and unless you’re prepared to submit Obama’s beliefs to public scrutiny, I’ll keep mine to myself.”
I have a Bible verse they can use:
And he (Jesus ) said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Luke 10:18
In earlier versions of the Bible, this is also translated as lightning fall from high place in Heaven
Now Jesus is describing Satan as Lightning from high place
Go to this site:
http://www.freelang.net/online/hebrew.php
In the English to Hebrew, type in the word for lightning, you get Baraq
In the English to Hebrew, type in high place, you get Bama
So Satan - lightning form high place in Hebrew is Baraq Bama . Now in the tribe that his father is from - O in front of the name is the same as in Irish , it means “son of “
Wonder if they would ever mention that ?
I’m starting to wonder when Westboro Baptist Church (The Phelps Gang) shows up to protest Palin.
How does this verse even apply to her marriage? Is the author of this article suggesting that Todd Palin has forbidden Sarah from entering politics? He’s been her biggest supporter throughout her political career.

Proverbs Chapter 31:10-31 (taken from the Holy Bible, New Living Translation ©. Copyright © 1996, by Tyndale Charitable Trust)
10. Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is worth more than precious rubies.
11. Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life.
12. She will not hinder him but help him all her life.
13. She finds wool and flax and busily spins it.
14. She is like a merchant’s ship; she brings her food from afar.
15. She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household and plan the day’s work for her servant girls.
16. She goes out to inspect a field and buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17. She is energetic and strong, a hard worker.
18. She watches for bargains; her lights burn late into the night.
19. Her hands are busy spinning thread, her fingers twisting fiber.
20. She extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy.
21. She has no fear of winter for her household because all of them have warm clothes.
22. She quilts her own bedspreads. She dresses like royalty in gowns of finest cloth.
23. Her husband is well known, for he sits in the council meeting with the other civic leaders.
24. She makes belted linen garments and sashes to sell to the merchants.
25. She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs with no fear of the future.
26. When she speaks, her words are wise, and kindness is the rule when she gives instructions.
27. She carefully watches all that goes on in her household and does not have to bear the consequences of laziness.
28. Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her:
29. “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!”
30. Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.
31. Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.
I think Sarah qualifies...... the Bible considers a woman virtuous who looks after her children, looks after her husband, does business, keeps a good home.
You’re right. I started out not liking McCain at all. After the Palin pick, I was 100% on board. But then this idiotic bailout thing happened, and I was so furious I told my wife if McCain supported it I wasn’t going to vote for him.
But as more and more comes out about Obama (e.g. that All Hail Glorious Leader kids’ song aided and abetted by the CEO of NBC) and the more and more the MSM and other pinheads try to destroy Palin, I may just say to hell with the bailout, I am voting for McCain *just to shove it in the face of the media*.
Everything would be OK if she were wiccan. Amazing how libs today are totally accepting of that pagan worship-the-earth witchcraft stuff.
Yet if you suggest they run to the Bible in order to know how to live according to God's holy will, they'll spit in your face and call you intolerant.
For example:
John Cusack - "Jesus was a radical to be sure, but in an opposite way from the war mongers and profiteers who use his name today. I can't get past "thou shalt not kill" and look at this carnage and see any rational way one could say these men follow Jesus Christ."
Kathleen Turner - "Candidly, I am afraid it is very much a religious movement (pro-life activism), a religious-right movement, which I would hesitate to qualify as Christian because to me, Christianity is about love and to be able to love and I see little of that in their actions."
And this exchange between lefty Meryl Streep and Denzel Washington on the "Today" show - Streep: "...Jesus could have raised an army against the people that persecuted him. He didn't. So that's what I was pointing out in my speech, and I couldn't really imagine Jesus, like I couldn't imagine how Jesus would vote. Jesus was the Prince of Peace. Would the Prince of Peace vote for a war President?"
Washington: "And it's open to interpretation. Jesus also went into the temple and kicked everybody out."
The Left, which openly holds Christian faith in contempt, ALWAYS feels qualified to lecture Christians on how we should live that faith. IMHO, this is because they are fearful that God will comdemn them for their attitudes and actions when the time comes, so they seek to convince themselves that those attitudes and actions are, in fact, godly. They hate those who truly follow Jesus and His Word and seek to demean and defeat us using Scripture to do so. Satan tried the same thing with Jesus when he tempted Him in Matthew 4:5.
They are all hypocrites.
