Cavuto had breaking news that CLINTON/KERRY want the Senate to take up and approve this BAILOUT RESCUE PLAN tommorrow BYPASSING the House Republicans. Isn't this wrong? That isn't the procedure! This must be stopped. They know the House Republicans will present a better bill.

The House initiates funding bills.

The Senate can go pound sand.

Sorry no it's revenue bills (taxes) that have to originate in the house. Spending bills can originate in either house.

There is a NEW BILL being written without Paulson’s 700 billion ...and Clinton/Kerry are trying to undermine it..the new bill could make great changes for future of our economy. This is a REAL PROBLEM and will hurt Election if Senate passes the current bill, and tries to make Repbulicans look like they want to hurt America.

The only bills which must originate in the House are tax measures. The Senate can start work on it's own version, if it likes. Usually, it is easier for a majority party to get the bill they want through the House first, and then make compromises in the Senate to avoid a fillibuster, but in this case, it may be easier to get a bill through the Senate, with 2/3 of the Senators not facing reelection in 5 weeks.

Its no coincidence that Clinton and Kerry are pushing for a quick passage. They represent New York and Boston, which are heavily dependent on the financial industry.

A bill can originate in either house unless it is a revenue bill. So the Senate can give away billions and then wait for the House to raise taxes later.

You're half wrong. All spending bills must also originate in the House.

they cannot. All money bills must originate in the House. I believe spending $700 B constitutes a money bill.

If they (CLINTON/KERRY) get constitutional interpretation push back, I’m sure they’ve already shopped for a judge to obtain a friendly ruling.

Power to the robes!

This bill is supposedly going to be profitable after the market turns around and this fixes it (yea right, but besides the point).

You and I, and everyone else, knows this thing is going to lose money left and right, but there is revenue generation policy written into the bill. Therefor it starts in the House as this is a revenue generating bill, and not simply a spending one.

The real end run is around Obama.

BINGO! Politics abhors a vacuum. Hillary is on her way to becoming Senate Majority Leader. Triangulate Obama and in the meantime cut out Pelosi and cut out Reid (both of whose days are numbered, anyhow).

And now they’re saying Treasury can just go ahead and spend that much anyway? (General approval for up to a trillion on Fannie and Freddie already given by Congress.)

All money bills must originate in the House.

Perhaps Clinton/Kerry aren't going to deal with money, perhaps they're just going to deal with regulation. There's no reason why this bill has to be one big monstrosity, take it or leave it. There are bits and pieces that could be passed and passed quickly - like increasing the FDIC insurance.

I agree they want this bill passed at all costs before the debate so the can show that a socialist democratic congress and a marxist democratic Obama can make your dreams come true.
America the stupid, will vote for the party of creeton criminals
