Is Barack Obama an Indonesian Citizen?
On Sunday, I received an email from An Expat in Southeast Asia, Larry Martin.
He wrote this:
Obama is Indonesian.
My sources claim that he was adopted and that the Indonesian government is aware of this - so are Obamas people who cut a deal with the Indonesian government to have the records suppressed.

Wow...
Obama Campaigns National Network Separate from the Democratic Party.
Looks as if the Dem party has lost control of their smooth talkin, illegal alien community organizer.
Did you know that the EX PAT in this story is along time Freeper?
All of this, even if true, is comprehensively irrelevant.
Obama was born in the USA and is therefore a native born citizen.
American citizenship can only be voided by a precisely defined renunciation process. If this is not done, American citizenship remains in effect for life. US law doesn’t care in the least whether some other country considers you to be a citizen. I could acquire citizenship in 27 countries under their laws, and my American citizenship would remain in effect unless and until I formally renounced it following the prescribed procedures.
For heaven’s sake, people. The American Taliban fought against and killed American soldiers. He is no doubt guilty of treason, but he is still an American citizen. Americans who defected to USSR or North Korea remain American citizens unless and until they formally renounce that status.
Because the Constitution by inference leaves the determination of whether they meet the qualifications to the Electoral College? I'm fine with your idea, but it would require at minimum a new law, and possibly an amendment.
I believe he was born in Kenya and raised mostly in Indonesia.
That sounds about right. But he does have a black father and a white mother. It is likely that they produced Obama. There is a picture of Obama Senior and his white mama and Obama together.
The Constitution says they must be a US citizen. It would make sense to have to prove it in order to run for President.
Yes, it would. But the Constitution provides no mechanism for doing so. By implication this leaves it up to the EC to decide whether the qualifications have been met.
Please tell us you forgot the words “natural born” ?
Obama lived in Indonesia from the age of 5 to 10. I don’t think this qualifies as “raised mostly” there. The ages of 10 to 18 are much more formative than 5 to 10.
There is also absolutely no evidence he was born anywhere other than USA. Lots of speculation, but no evidence. Even if he had been born outside USA, he would still almost certainly have qualified as a native-born citizen, since his mama was one.
People seem to keep forgetting that there are only two types of citizens: native born and naturalized. There is no third category.
Morning coffee reading ping!
If it's pretty clear then you no doubt have tons of evidence supporting your claims. How about letting us in on some of it?
You mean like...when you have a chance at the presidential nomination for the Democratic Party? </sarcasm>
It’s amazing that the same people who are convinced that his birth certificate was photoshopped will accept anything else as gospel.
Thanks for ping:)
There’s no doubt that the life and times of Obama are murky. There’s no doubt many people have worked tirelessly to show his basic unworthiness to be our president- for a myriad of sound reasons.
Whether anything comes out between now and the end of October that will change the minds of the voters- is the question.
At this point- I’m not too optimistic. We’ll see soon enough.
You forget that his family covered all this up while he was still a child to preserve his eligibility for the presidency.
To hold this opinion one must work to avoid noticing the insanity of thinking that anybody in 1960s Hawaii would have considered a half-black kid a likely candidate for that particular office. BTW, president and vice-resident are the only offices in the USA that require a citizen to be native-born as opposed to naturalized.
It's not a matter of being convinced his birth certificate is photoshopped - IT WAS and IT IS photoshopped. A little like saying you are not convinced terrorists took down the WTC towers on 9/11. You can't claim something is false if it has already been proven otherwise.
Please answer me this; do you believe the 'birth certificate' (Certificate of Live Birth) on the fightthesmears website is genuine?
