“Mike Pence talking live to Duke Cunningham on wabcradio.com.
He opposes the bill, says they improved it, but still a transfer of 700 Million from Main St. to Wall St.
Says he can not support it.:
Yes, I tuned in in time to hear him say he can not support it. Another Freeper posted on another thread that Pence said about 75 others were not going to support it either. If only we could only get all of the Republicans to vote NO!
OK, rich losers in positions of power, then. The worst type.
Man, this is a travesty. If these people get their way, then America has indeed truly lost.
The 75 was a meeting of the conservatives in the house, the problem is we don’t have a 275 of them.
We’ll never get 275 of them until there is a CONSERVATIVE NEWS NETWORK, but I’ve been screaming that for years, no billionaire will listen to me. LOL
This is not a defeat for the GOP. This is the type of thing the GOP does following it's leader Bush. This, however, is a huge defeat for conservatives and shows just how weak we are. When this bill starts reeking like the piece of garbage that it is, the people will not look to conervatives to save the Republic, they will look to the same greedy, corrupt hacks who pushed this crap on us. Principles cannot persuade ignorance. The average voter in this Country hasn't the slightest clue what the "problem" is or what this bill is about. They are manipulated like children because they do not want to "waste" the time to become informed citizens.
I see no way to overcome this.
With all this bailout mess going on, Soros and his history keeps coming to mind.
That’s why Republicans shouldn’t sulk while the Democrats are having their victory celebrations, but switch gears and prepare for more battles.
“Maybe if enough people get mad, there will be more Republicans elected. This could be changed.”
People are mad...but the MSM is able to spin this in the democrats favor at every turn. We may have the silent majority..but what can you do with that...if they/we remain SILENT..our LEADERS remain SILENT..and our nominee for PRESIDENT remains SILENT?
SILENT ON THE RACIAL RACKETERRING...’community organizer’..Saul Alinsky model...SILENT on Obama’s past...SILENT on the democrat corruption involved in this meltdown...SILENT on the republican and Bush Administration efforts to reform and yes..regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac(17 times in 2008 alone)..SILENT on AYERS...SILENT on REZKO...SILENT ON EVERY SINGLE MASS CASUALTY THAT THE MARXIST AGENDA OF THE DEMS HAVE CAUSED!
NOW we are standing on the cliff of being silenced forever...the spin is ‘Free Markets don’t work’...’conservative ideals are ‘passe’...even our FOUNDING FATHERS are apparently ‘suspect’ now.
I watched Rahm Emmanuel tonight, say basically that, when he seized the microphones outside of the House Republican chambers where the media had set up to hear from our conservative leaders.
SILENT NO MORE.... I SAY SILENT NO MORE!!
DON’T CALL OUR PATRIOTS TOMORROW..CALL THE DEMOCRAT CRIMINALS!!
Thanks for that link. We’ve got ruthless, power mad liars on one side and people that are afraid of their own shadow on the other. We are all just along for the ride (over the cliff.)
We new a bailout was going to get through. The Dems control both houses and they have the votes. they just want Reps. to along so they don’t have to take sole blame.
I agree Capitalism and Free Marjkets lost with this deal....but there could be light. If the cards are played right, conservatives can win.
House Republicans led by Mike Pence will vote no. Then they hang the this unpopular bailout on Pelosi, Ried and company.
Barack Obama is out there pretty much saying he will vote Yes. John McCain I have no clue what he will do. I feel all he has to do is let Obama vote yes then he flips a No vote and he has his talking point until November. But will he do it? We’ll have to wait and see.
Amen, I say to you.
Seriously, it’s bad politics and bad policy.
This is a huge problem for McCain because people see this as either it’s a Wall Street problem, a Washington problem, or both. Most people think the Republicans run Washington (despite a Democrat Congres) and most people think that the people who run Wall Street are Republicans (despite their massive fundraising tilt to the Dems, which 99% don’t know about).
It is up to the McCain campaign, via his various means of campaign messaging, and the RNC, via theirs, to convince people otherwise. At this point, I don’t see them even thinking about trying to tie the Dems to this mess.
“McCain won and will be vindicated politically while BO fiddled.
At worst, McCain neutralized a losing issue, making the RATS carry water for Bush. McCain separated himself further from Bush.”
I think you might be on to something.
” Wait on our God. “
You think God is about to save us ? It’s obvious to me that God - if he ever was a fan - gave up on us years ago .
Your not starting this crap again.
Spare us this fantasy world .
We lost.
Too close to call. S/
Who Lost?
Depends who you ask.
To those who have nothing invested, nothing to loose, they say they lost, “the taxpayer lost”.
To those who do have a lot invested, far exceeding paltry amounts guarantied by government, At least not all is lost, although they loose on the other end, as they are really the taxpayers when those investments are redeemed for cash.
Who won? As always, the politicians- and we know who they all are- those who receive generous “donations” from all those involved in this multi-layered scam-business, the CEO’s and other excessively rewarded rip off artists who lurk under them, doing their dirty work while protecting them from legal action against them. The elite whose excess is a licence to steal even more from the innocent who, in good faith, invest in the system, thinking it’s fair.
ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW RIGHT HERE ON THIS GRAPH.... DOES IT LOOK LIKE ANY WAY POSSIBLE WE WILL GET A DEPRESSION, HELLLL NO!!! THE LIES AND LIARS OF THE WALLSTREET CASINO BULLSHEET BAILOUT.
Bush destroyed conservativism and ended the Reagan Revolution. What ever happened to support of free-markets and smaller government? I don’t think McCain is much better: we’ll have to wait until 2012 before we can get a decent Conservative candidate.
You haven’s shown it to be crap.
and it is beyond your capacity to do so.
I am not the one claiming McStains actions to be something other than the pandering that they are...at the very moment he stands on the stage performing his act of capitulation to socialism.
The irony of you personally accusing anyone at all of living in a fantasy world wile doing this - even Cindy Sheehan - is staggering.
