Morning coffee bump
Good morning, Everyone. Good morning to our
Military, our Allies, and their families. THANK YOU for all you do.
Thank you, Star, for preparing the Canteen for todays activities. Thank you Connie for helping.
Now for our local DC Metroland weather report
~ Today..... Plenty of sunshine. High 79F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph.
~ Tonight.....Mainly clear skies. Low 59F. Winds light and variable.
We had a rainy weekend. We had the nor'easter and then part of Kyle pushed some system round and round on top of most of us. Looking forward to a dry weekend.
NOTICE: I will be very scarce here at the Canteen for the next two weeks. We are entering the end of one fiscal year and about to enter the next. This means we have to close out old and create new. Plus, I will be leaving Friday to go away for a four-day weekend. Don't expect to see me back here until Tuesday next week.
As always, if want my attention you will have to send me a FReepmail. Otherwise your post may get lost in all the pings I have to go through upon my return.
Time for me to make my rounds, say howdy before I must move into lurker mode. But, you stay right where you are. Don't touch that dial. Don't change that channel. Put down that remote. Don't leave the room. Keep your eyes on your monitor. Cause...............I'll be bock!
Now remember, the Canteen is
So, come on in and sit for a while. There's always plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness, and plain old BS

((HUGS))Good morning, Beach. How’s it going?
Good night.
Good morning and (((HUGS))) EG. I’m getting ready to move into lurking mode and start on some of the work on my desk.
Whatz up with you? How was your weekend?
Good morning ladies. (((HUGS))) to you.
I am really ticked off about the bailout. We are sending our LAST payment on our mortgage next month, and now it looks like congress has handed me another 30 year note.
Had some family and friends over yesterday. My sister needed me to show her how to work the Youtube video device.
My brother is staying today and then going back on Tuesday. He's going to go to Wal-Mart later today.
Morning everyone!
Good morning, dear
((HUGS))
I’d like to know what “pork” the dems added to it at the end?
Some of what I’ve heard is better than nothing. Especially since we KNEW they were going to do it. I particularly liked that they are going to take away some of those “rewards” the top executives were going to get.
What we need is a civilian/citizen watch group who would monitor what happens with this $700 billion.
What I’m ticked about is how is this helping the thousands that have already been foreclosed on? Their credit is SHOT.
I have a message for all those rich entertainers, liberals, and business people who think we don’t pay enough in taxes........PLEASE feel free to give a little extra this year to help cover the $700 billion. It will NOT hurt my feelings.
It's finally starting to feel like autumn around here.
Good for you allegra. It’s getting cooler here too. I m on laptop this AM, since the wife fell asleep in the bedroom where the copmuter is, and my files are on that one.
Yes, we need a lot of people to monitor this disaster giveaway. Even the moonbats in Austin were at the capitol demonstrating yesterday.
WOW! You are one popular dude, ain’tcha?
Against the bailout???
Yes, I should have made that clear. I have one more payment on our 15 yr loan, and now have been given another huge bill to pay for someone who DOES NOT qualify for a loan or have to prove they had a job.
This (d) congress has srewed us bigtime. Time to change taglines.
