I wonder how many thousands the crowd will be?
I wonder when it is tens of thousands those naysayers will shut the hell up?

Let’s see if Bob McCulloch tries to have her arrested.

Yeah this sounds like a candidate that is just shaking in her boots about the debate. Sarah ain’t going nowhere except to 34th Street and Massachusetts Avenue in Washington DC . These liberal assholes who claim republicans are looking to replace her are idiots. If she was so bad, why wouldn’t they want her to stay on the ticket so their boys can win? We all know the answer. They’ve been crapping in their pants since the day she was nominated.

Go Sarah! Kick some hair plugged ass at the debate, then party all night long.

I have a feeling Sarah is going to do well.

Why she had a brain freeze against Couric is beyond me. She was much better aginst Gibson.

Best,

Chris

Wrong county - Joyce is over St. Louis City County, Bob is from St. Louis County. Confusing, I know...

I’m thinking about going with my big 0bama is a Muslim sign. I would love for them to give me any grief.... ;-)

The VP debate will be the opposite of yesterday's debate. Sarah will be on the inexperience side vs. Biden the seasoned politician. Fortunately, Biden has tendency to be look arrogant and condescending toward his opponent.

I wonder how much practice it takes to look as tough as those secret service guys?

I love them all and I am glad we have them, but this looks so stereotypical.

Well, that would be difficult as he has no jurisdiction at Chaifitz. That venue is on the campus of Saint Louis University (a Jesuit institution, not to be confused with a Catholic one) which is in midtown in the city. McCulloch is the St. Louis County prosecutor. The City of St. Louis, thanks to lack of foresight of the populace in 1876, is not actually in the county. It stands alone.

I don’t think she’s used to hostile, in your face, can’t get away moments with a-holes who don’t like her. Contrast her Couric interview with Hannity’s: with Hannity, she handled herself great and didn’t grope for - and not find - details. She has to get used to this. The good news is, this type of BS won’t be in the offing at the debate.

At the debate, she’ll have a certain amount of time to pontificate upon the parts of the answers she knows well. And she’ll have touched on every topic because she’s been prepping, and she’ll have delved deep into the big topics that she cannot mess up on (Iran, China, Russia, The Economy brew ha ha, Terrorism). After the 2 mins or whatever the time is up....its off to Biden. For followups, all she has to do is listen to and understand Biden, form her reaction, and give her follow-up. You see, Biden has to answer these questions as well, and he has to be understandable to the common-man, or woman in this case.

Hope1: the interviewer won’t ask questions like, “So, how do you think today’s trouble with the UN compare to those of the League of Nations?” Hell, Biden didn’t even know who was president during the great depression.

Hope2: in addition to questions about the League of Nations, as well as the Atlantic Charter or the post-modern response to quid pro quo, I hope they ask her about abortion. I liked her response in her Alaska debate, its honest, and even if folks don’t like her position they’ll at least see someone who has non-prepped feelings and thoughts about a big issue today.

Hope3: I hope she’s getting a thorough prep on not only international issues, but energy as well. Sure, she’s good on energy: oil energy, natural gas, etc. But she needs to delve deep on some of the other types: nuclear, renewables, etc. She also needs prep on economics. I think all these candidates do.

If anyone thinks I’m being hard on her, please be assured that I’m not. John Edwards never got such unfair treatment, he had a cake walk. He showed up to his debate, had his clock cleaned by Cheney, and everyone was like “well...that’s Cheney for ya - on to our next story”. For her, its going to be “Omfg she just ended a sentence with a preposition!!!!! Dear lord, how can we live in a world with such disregard for grammer - omg what do we do?!!? Who is this terrible woman??!” Totally ridiculous, and a problem.

If cornered somehow in the debate, she should admit that she’s new to the national scene, the international scene, she’s working on it and will have plenty of time, don’t you worry. If Biden attacks her as not being ready, she should attack back that anyone who supports abortion can never be ready to lead this country under God.

Quite a bit. It's probably a bit tougher for Palin's team, because if you notice, the SS agents are always looking away from the person that they are protecting, with their eyes constantly moving alertly throughout the crowd.

not to be confused with a Catholic one

The Jesuit's are Roman Catholics. My grandfather's cousin was a very well known priest from St. Louis University.

First - Fr. Biondi gets livid when Saint is not spelled out in Saint Louis University.

Second - um, the Jebbies at SLU have a few good ones left, but the really Catholic parts of the school (the Aquinas Institute) are run by the Dominicans. One of them is living at my parish.

Third - have you ever seen an actual Catholic Church sign use the word "Roman" in the title?

Fourth - I can name a number of well known priests from SLU having lived in StL the vast majority of my life. Your cousin may be one of them. That doesn't change the fact that the Jesuits are a shell of what they used to be or that places like SLU are viper pits toward orthodox people who are serious about faith and tradition.

So, what's your point? It doesn't really matter to me.
btw (by the way), Why did you abbreviate "Father"?

have you ever seen an actual Catholic Church sign use the word "Roman" in the title?

Yes, but why do you ask? The only point I was making is that because you said, "Saint Louis University (a Jesuit institution, not to be confused with a Catholic one)", that St. Louis University is according to them, a Jesuit, Catholic university.

Well, see, Biondi doesn't care about the Father part. He's not exactly a model priest. Just ask any of the executive assistants around town. There's rumors that really shouldn't be repeated.

The "Roman" thing - um, see that's actually a protestant thing. The Church is just Catholic with no qualifiers. And seriously, the Jesuits, many of them are CINOs. There's a sentimental attachment to the Society that's proving to be very hard to crack when discussing orthodoxy and actually enforcing church teaching. Liberation theology is really a way of life for them and that's been called out as unacceptable. SLU has flaunted Church teaching more often than not since Biondi has been president there. It's actually very disheartening.
