I almost choked when Fox just interviewed a congressman who said that the Dem "bail-out bill" retains the provision that 20% of the money recovered from the sale of crappy mortgages will go to ACORN, a group of career criminals under indictment in multiple states and the leading organized crime group that fraudulently registers voters and commits voter intimidation of Republicans every two years. This suggests there will be no Repub supported bill in the foreseeable future.
This is disgusting on so many levels.
Our president is part of this horrible scam on the nation.
The democrats have enough votes in the senate and house to pass this bill on their own but want republicans to share the blame.
The idiot has suspended his campaign and all ads, remember? He WANTS to lose this election I am convinced.
No, he didn’t stop the ads. He had one out IMMEDIATELY after the debate showing Obama stating where McCain was right. No, he doesn’t want to lose the election although I do think he likes to be the under dog and come up from behind for a victory. I prefer he just go through for the gold and be done with it.
Toll free numbers to Congress:
(800) 965-4701
(800) 828-0498
Also look on your Congressman’s webpage. They often have local offices.
I've read this post or something similar on several threads. You guys do understand that it is the democrats that are the real problem, right? Why not vote THEM out.
Some money will be devoted to a program that will encourage holders of distressed securities to keep them and buy government insurance to cover defaults.
ACORN?
“This will end free elections in the U.S. and give the Dems permanent party status. We cannot overcome extreme media bias, educational stupidity, spineless GOP RINOs AND perpetual massive voter fraud. This is a barbarians at the gate moment.”
Only if you surrender. Don’t. Ever. Surrender. Halp in the organization of a real backlash, a revolution. Yes, I said the “R” word, because my friend, we are at that point. Our nation’s founders got to that very same point when they believed risking their “...lives, fortunes, and sacred honor” was worth it, that they would risk all to throw off the yolk of tyranny, or die trying.
We are a very short step away from our Lexington and Concord, and it’s just a matter of time before the spark is lit.
Best we do it thoughtfully, and with organization, as the Founders did; that we hold dear the Constitution and have as our goal the return to its principles and intentions. Because, if we don’t, things will get ugly, ala Paris, 1792. The end result will be the same (i.e., the overthrow of the elitist, self-serving bandits who have hi-jacked this country), but the road will be far, far bloodier if we follow the French example.
My senators are Obama and Dickbrain Durbin. I’d be wasting my time and money calling their offices. We’d be better served if we tarred and feathered them and ran them our of town on a rail.
“They are the bastards that march in downtown Phoenix, screaming that they are going to take back ‘their country’ and kill all the gringos. Gonna get bloody folks. Just wait.”
It’s close. It is very, very close.
big bttt
“We just don’t have the participation we used to have.”
Impromptu uprisings stir the blood and make one feel good, but they are pretty meaningless. In order to really have an impact there must be organization, planning, scheduling, etc. Running off half-cocked would actually damage your cause, because it would make you look petty and immature and reactionary, a loose cannon (it would...well...make you look like Democrats).
And you do understand that there aree Republicans that should have been doing something all of these years and don’t tell me there’s not enough of them; because there would have been if they hadn’t deserted their country. I am ready to get rid of them for agreeing to this bailout plan period.
We are 51 trillion dollars in debt because of our government and banks and other crooks. The subprimes were the trigger that started the thread of unraveling. They are feeding off of themselves now and throwing a few billion on the fire isn’t going to put it out. It’s probably going to make it worse. The only way is to pay down the debt and that will take a heck of a long time; but I would prefer that to the whole thing going.
We can sit here all day and blame, blame and blame. We pretty much know who is responsible and that includes the man who let Bin Laden go, Clinton, Carter, the bankers, and Congresspeople. But, if we don’t do something instead of continuing to pile on debt and really watch our country go down the drain, we are sunk.
