Here is something that the media should focus on. In the debates tonight, Barack Obama said that even Henry Kissinger agreed with Obama that on a presidential level a diplomatic meeting with as rogue a leader as Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a good idea. McCain immediately said that this was not true, but the issue wasn't further addressed in the debate.
Well, now Henry Kissinger himself is attempting to set the record straight. Kissinger says that Obama was wrong, McCain was right. Stephen Hayes of the Weekly Standard has a short post to this effect on his TheBlog entry.
Kissinger Unhappy About Obama
Henry Kissinger believes Barack Obama misstated his views on diplomacy with US adversaries and is not happy about being mischaracterized. He says: "Senator McCain is right. I would not recommend the next President of the United States engage in talks with Iran at the Presidential level. My views on this issue are entirely compatible with the views of my friend Senator John McCain. We do not agree on everything, but we do agree that any negotiations with Iran must be geared to reality."
Well, that about answers to that Obama lie....

I just love your graphic..video!! Totally awesome.
I ain’t holding my breath that Katie will admit she was wrong during the Palin interview.
Hopefully, despite them, help is on the way, particularly in the White House to counter these domestic enemies.
You’d think that after the Dan Rather fiasco, the Dems would be wary of accepting the “help” of the anchor of the CBS Evening News.
This whole exchange and Kissinger’s statement need to be made into an ad. It says everything the country needs to know about Obama:
He is naive
He lacks experience.
He will say anything to get elected.
He is simply wrong.
He is dangerous.
MSNBC spinning that McCain couldn’t look Obama in the eye... and that they were shocked that Palin wasn’t in the audience.
“Here is something that the media should focus on.”
They SHOULD....but they won’t.
The left will obfuscate the fact that obama is for presidential level meetings without preconditions and will hold tight to the notion that obama and Kissinger agree on the basic idea lower levels meetings without preconditions.
here is the ad;
Clips from the debate:
McCaine: Senator Obama is naive.
Obama: I agree with Senator McCaine.
fade to black.
here’s the last word, all these leaders of these foriegn countries that hate us want hussein, the terrorist want hussein...........what more needs to be said.
The kid is wet behind the.......EARS.
From what I’ve listened to this morning I haven’t heard anyone mention this.
On a side note not in any way, shape, or form related to this topic I once was kicked out of my hotel room in Moscow so Kissinger could have it.
The “Mac couldn’t look at Barry” talking point is being used on Fox, too. However, Brian, the sports guy, said that McCain was a wrestler and boxer and that he uses the tactic of not looking at his opponent so that he will not “like” him. Even when he goes on and off stage, he is quick in meeting and greeting his opponent.
As more analysis is done on the debates, I think a different consensus will gel. Last night, the MSM was Obama won, Obama won.
Even this morning there is more critical thought emerging, and what is coming into focus is that Obama didn’t do that well.
McCain pwned him numerous times.
Kissinger says Obama was wrong—ouch!
And Obama’s own statement about Iran and preconditions was not the position he presented last night. Lots of hay can be made there. It is the hallmark of a Marxist to be revisionist.
Last night the MSM tried to salvage their candidate’s poor performance.
As for McCain not looking at Obama, the case is quite clear that Obama interrupted McCain numerous times and had a very disrespectful attitude toward a senior Senator(quite normal for the arrogant Messiah).
I loved the interchange about “talking” with Imablowjob from Iran, where McCain derides Obama’s naivete, and says “Oh, please!” at the end of it. Priceless!
The initial spin was desperate for Obama, but it will not be sustainable.
McCain won this debate on substance, experience, knowledge.
No question.
One other thing—keep praying for McCain/Palin. I’m not McCain’s biggest fan, but I know one thing—God didn’t bring McCain through 5.5 years of a Hanoi prison to get mopped up by a snot nosed Commie from Chicago.
LOL. Sorry you got kicked out, but that is kind of funny.
It's a big thread at KOS... probably originated there.
