Ryan Jopek's grandparents live in my small, north central Wisconsin town. His parents live in the next town over. Obama's fumbling over Ryan's name will not be looked upon favorably here.

I'll let you know how it's reported in the local paper today.

I had forgotten you and I lived so close to each other! I feel bad that while Ryan’s name sounded very familiar to me I couldn’t place it. (Probably because Obama mentioned Green Bay).

I believe you’re right that the pause, and looking down at his wrist is NOT going to be looked at favorably at all up here. I think people will be VERY turned off by it. Do you think they’ll cover this on any of the TV news channels? I’ll go check the Wausau Herald site, and see if anything’s up there yet...
