This kind of behavior, displayed on this thread, is very unbecoming, and frankly NOT Freeper behavior. You do not kick someone when they are down, no matter how much you disagree with that person when they are not down. We have more class than that.
This is a time for prayers and not negative comments. This is what makes us so much better than our counterparts on the other side.
Prayers for him and his family. I steadfastly oppose his politics, but I wish him all the best.
I hope he stabilizes and is able to return to his family.
Teddy is getting yet another chance by God to repent and save his soul. I fervently pray he takes God up on His offer. If the Lord has to use suffering to get His point across, so be it. It has saved many.
I’m not always successful in this endevour. But this was NOT one of those times! Thanks for the kind words. I do appreciate it. :-)
Thank you for your thoughtful comment - much appreciated.
You’re welcome and thank you!
I admit that I get a little loose with the [censored by myself] garden variety profanity, but the overall ccivility and blatant speech is getting beyond the mods...
we should be better than the liberal landfills across the hall and make an attempt at decency...
for all the things I think I know as fact of the kennedys, and ole ted in particular, I couldnt condemn him any sooner than I could condemn myself...just that simple, I have NOT the power to save or damn anyone, myself included...
even if I could level the playing field down to just the self imposed alcohol crisis, that still wouldnt give that power to me to cheerlead someone to hell...
somewhere in between unbridled tyranny and simple home invasion, there is a line where God gives me the Right to send a soul to Him for Judgement...I believe up to the moment that I decide to drop the hammer, God [for that matter He could return the bullet] could stay my hand and use that moment for Salvation of the tyrant or simple robber...
bottom line is that the value of the heart is NOT my judgement to make...and anyone here who would cheerlead damnation of anothers soul has a whole lotta 'splainin' to do...
Said it before - he’s NOT one of my favorite people; he rammed through laws that are responsible for multiple deaths of innocent citizens due to being disarmed, in addition to one certain young drowning victim - but I still don’t wish that illness on him.
Like brother Gilbo said - God kept him around for a long time for a reason...we can’t second-guess “The Man Above”. Maybe it was just to keep OUR side in line, who knows?
To expect forgiveness, we have to give it.
BUT - that being said, we don’t have to forget, nor be foolish. He is one of the enemy, and has continuously sought to destroy everything we hold dear. I for one will not miss him, nor will I mourn his passing when it happens, and I pray that whoever replaces him will be a wiser man, maybe a bit more righteous, and hopefully conservative (but seeing as how it’s Massholachusetts, I doubt it).
Prayers for his family, for him and for his soul, for sure. That’s about as big as I can be towards him...
That’s a beautiful story. Glad to hear it.
Cherish your “Old Man” - mine didn’t make it past 54, and I miss him every day - going on 32 years now, not a day goes by that I don’t think of him.

Wow,I have never seen a thread with so many comments removed. Are they all trolls or did a lot of Freepers get suspended today?
A FR Mod patrolling the thread....
;)
“...Trolls...etc”
No, I don’t think so...people have a lot of anger built up and just vent. Maybe more tact could be used, maybe some of them trolls for sure, but I think most of us folk out here share one overriding quality - love of our country, our heritage, culture, and people.
This is a guy who has devoted his life in office and used (or misused) his position of authority (authority that God placed on him, no less) to undermine all those qualities I stated above. Actively, and with malicious intent it seems, or maybe he honestly believed he was doing the right thing (benefit of the doubt).
I don’t know how to read his heart, no one does, except by his own actions and by the company he chooses to keep. He keeps company with people I consider enemies of all I love, and by their actions directly endanger my country’s, my neighborhood’s, my family’s, and my OWN life. People who would order my death, your death, in a heartbeat if they thought they could get away with it to further their agenda.
Harsh? I think not...realistic is more like it.
That anger is directed his way is understandable; but hatred and vitriol when the man is dying is, well, tacky and unbecoming of gentlemen (and ladies) that we ourselves should try to be. We’re bigger than that.
Wish him well, have a shot of whiskey, say a prayer for him and pray for someone wiser to replace him. That’s about all we need do.
We’ll ALL be there someday, and we’ll ALL need someone to pray over us as well. Not one of us is righteous; not a one.
God will take care of the rest of it. Pretty much the way it’s always been.

Jeez louise.
I wish swift recovery and a lasting fruitful relationship with God for Mr. Kennedy.
Gilbo_3, I’m guilty at times myself, but I agree.
