Kraut was wrong on Palin
Wrong on this debated
Wrong and a washington insider to boot.
I usually love Kraut and Hume but always, always, always in 2000, 2004 and now they make you want to peel your forehead BACK WITH THEIR INSANITY.
Did they just watch the same debate
Kraut man go to bed, have some soup, take an alka seltzer and stay asleep till Nov 5th.
Obama had a failed strategy, and that was to pin the Bush administration on McCain. And McCain saw it coming from 50 miles away.
Obama came on succint, forceful, and on message on the bailout issue, while McCain was sluggish and vague. McCain was hampered by a need to remain bipartisan, given his theme, and the ongoing development of a bill.
Obama: Two well-orchestrated drives, McCain on his heels: 14-0 Obama at halftime.
As the debate turned to foreign policy, McCain pounded home his message using the reliable running game, and ultimately crammed it down Obama's throat, dictating the nature of hte contest. Obama made it respectable, however. Well-fought contest. Final score McCain 28, Obama 21.
Huh? Have you been drinking the DU Kool-Aid?
He repeatedly interrupted Senator McCain and made faces.
We all understand that News organization who are behaving as undeclared 527's for the Obama campaign , will spin his performance.
A reasonable person can not call Obamas presence during this debate presidential.
Winning a debate means nothing. Actually having belief in the words spoken during the debate does.
Obamas constant agreement with Senator McCains statements during exchanges did nothing but reduce the differences between them. I got the impression, if Obama hears a good idea, his only recourse is agreement. If he had not articulate this position in the past, why does he agree? A debate is a forum to validate positions, not find one you have not already researched and discarded. And if he already agreed, why not explain how he came to that point and tell why his reasoning is different.
Go to cnn.com and FReep the poll.
AOL poll:
LOL. Ya think Obama and Biden had a little conference about ROOSEVELT?
Obama debated Palin?
Damn, Joe needs another drink.
Gotta keep Obama in the lead.
Yes, he talked about cutting taxes so that business would have a reason to stay in the U.S. and not move to countries like Ireland (his example) with lower tax rates.
Great job Sen. McCain. However, you should have taken it to the Democrats on causing the banking mess with forcing loans to unqualified borrowers and then blocking reform!
I should take lessons...just switched on local news to watch HS football recap and am having to suffer through Barry soundbites.
I have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about or who you’re talking to...have you wondered off the DU board?”
Yeah, I’ve hung around here for 11 years just so I could wander off DU after it was created :-)
My comment was in response to Obama’s saying he was for clean coal production. I probably should have explained it a bit better.
Well YEAH! No harm no foul I’ve been called worse but I just don’t know WHY I’m a doofus! ;)
I don’t know what you were responding TO, or even if it was me...I bet I’ve left several dozen comments and the only time I mentioned Biden, as I recall, was in relation to bambi going off the rails with chinese spacewalks which tails in nicely with his VP who thinks our one of our top priorities should be fixing AMTRAK of all things!
These two are so scary it’s truly criminal.
A lot of pundits wants to hedge their bets.
I didn't even watch most of this debate and I saw a clear winner!
I saw a man who KNEW what the hell he was talking about, and a man-child that didn't!
That would be great!!
The thread is moving so fast that I am missing so many great comments.
Freeped - McCain up 85%
In other news - Politico Obama 47 McCain 46
Wowzer KeepFREEPING Friends.
WTH is the matter with these people?
And the audience was very well behaved too.
Lehrer was pretty fair for a liberal. Usually they're so biased it's sickening. Guess he didn't want to do a "Charlie Gibson"....
I have a McCain Palin sticker on my car. I'm definitely voting for him!
But I was really hoping for more of a fight from McCain. I'm glad my opinion seems to be in the minority because Obama is not genuine and this rehearsed, final-exam-style he had tonight is not really presidential, but I fear it was enough to fool a lot of people.
McCain missed some great opportunities that I thought he was going to hit.
It was so immature how Obama just kept interrupting.
