McCain said he was suspending his campaign to work on this crisis. If he goes to the debate while the Senate is still debating this, it will look like the whole thing was a cynical political ploy.
Quite frankly it is really looking like it was.

And btw the Senate isn’t debating anything since there wont be any votes on it today.

He worked on the legislation. BO insisted on a debate. McCain’s not hiding. Nor is he going to keep a campaign suspended if BO keeps campaigning. The aggressor sets the rules.
