I’m pretty sure that McCain would have been walking into a hostile environment, whether he threatened to pull out or not. You could tell from the type of remarks that were being made from the University.

A question to the assembled masses:
What did Rush mean by ‘Obama blew up the White House meeting’? I just got in and guess I missed his previous comments on it.
Also, just out of curiosity, why the heck was Obama there anyway? GWB just being polite to a presidential candidate? Shouldn’t participation been limited to the Speaker and senior members from both parties?
