Oh yeah! My property taxes just doubled because of our new house. We can’t even live in it yet! I have thousands in sales tax that we’ll be claiming next year.
Just got off the phone with my Seantors re:Harry Reid and the offshore drilling ban. I’m sooooo super p*ssed at McConnell’s office right now. Sen. Bunning’s office was great and took my name, super nice and stated before I even got my position out that Senator Bunning would not vote for any bill that had the offshore drilling ban it.
McConnell’s office interrupted me, said “The senator doesn’t have a position on that right now” and hung up. Arg. I like McConnell okay, but seriously, I have to problems with this statement by his staff. 1. If he doesn’t have a position on it now; when will he have- the vote is supposed to happen soon on this bailout plan. and 2. McConnell is up for reelection this year and his race has tightened incredibly. P*ssing off constituents doesn’t seem like a great strategy. Granted I’ve never held an elected office, BUT I’m just saying ....
