Obama -- An Opportunity to Lead, No Teleprompters Allowed
HMV

Posted on 09/25/2008 7:04:43 AM PDT by Hillary'sMoralVoid

Any red-blooded American presidential candidate, especially one who purports to have a superior grasp of the economy, should be spring-loaded to jump into the current economic crisis and show leadership to effect a solution.

Obama's response has been limp, to say the least. Leadership requires a grasp of the situation, an ability to synthesize numerous viewpoints, and an ability to rally others toward a solution. Just like the root cause of the crisis, Obama's performance as a leader has been sub-prime.

Obama wants to have the scheduled presidential debate to take place on Friday night, yet the most important debate perhaps in our country's history is taking place in Washington over the next few days. John McCain will be an active participant in the debate, why not Obama?

What's more, the presidential debates often focus on what the voters want to hear, but the debate in Washington involves a real-world problem that demands leadership skills, what better situation to demonstrate presidential timbre?

Obama's response is proving that he is only prepared for staged events, and unable to lead in a real-world situation. His "solution" involves only affixing blame, while not offering a framework to repair the situation and keep it from recurring.

He is clealy a sub-prime candidate.

Fox is reporting that the pauses were cause he was hearing applause in his earpiece from NY crowd.
WTF?
Talk about multitasking. Speak on place, listen in another, and look stupid in both places at the same time.

The big O is amazing. He was probably channeling Tom Cruise too.

Fox just said that it may have been the applause in Bambi’s ear (they have had emails from viewers as to the stops being because his teleprompter isn’t functioning), but there were breaks where there would be no applause! This needs to be a youtube video.

He looked stupefied. And Fox news is saying he was responding to a "applause pause" (that didn't exist)..??

Wall Street is in danger of a melt down, no one can get a loan these days, and he's going on and on about how a mosquito bite and malaria are going to kill little children!!

Why the hell don’t the African leaders paying for their own citizens vaccinations? That is their responsibility. They had to get rid of the evil colonial rule so let them deal with the consequences.

get a load of this sh**. One of Obama’s “senior advisors”, just said ‘there is scant evidence of McCain’s concern for the Freddie Mac- Fannie problem. Hemmer mention McCain is on record & she is wrong.

I heard that! He's so out of touch with reality that it's down right dangerous.

He has no business talking up malaria or Aids problems in third world countries ($$$$)when OUR own country is in a financial crises.

I am hoping the GOP maneuvers this just right so we come out on top as we should, since McCain and the Repubs warned of this years ago...and I feel real comfy (/sar) with Barney Frank helping craft this when he is a main part of the problem to begin with! He is the one years ago that said this would be no problem...Freddie and Fannie were doing so great....let's get that out there all over the place just like the MSM falsely reported when John McCain said the fundamentals of the economy were sound....they never did tell his full statement on that and that is why we dipped in the polls...

Make NO mistake, the RATS are worried that McCain will be there today.

Is this a hoax? Where was it reported that Obama asked to use teleprompters?

Obama has proven himself, once again, to be passive and weak. He is no leader.

But he is still on the level of a community organizer!!!
