Will the majority of voters truly see this as a smart move by McCain or not? Will this latest move by McCain truly backfire on either McCain or Obama or on neither or on both?

Obama wants to either vote present or miss the vote so he can’t be held accountable. Bush by publicly asking him to show up has forced his hand. It will be the first time Barack has ever worked in a bipartisan manner. Will he be taking his marching orders from Soros, or Reid and Pelosi?

“... in approximately 40 days, ...”

I guess Obama thinks the President-elect takes power the day after the election, rather than actually waiting the almost three months for the inauguration ?

The jury is still out on it. The MSM will spin as we all know, furiously for Obambi.

Right. As soon as McCain shows up in Mississippi on Friday night for the debate then all of the nonsense about him trying to get out of it is gone.

McCain will look like the man of action, the man who gets things done and the man who everyone respects.

But he’s got to find a way to change the proposed bailout bill such that it’s markedly less expensive.

Right now he’s the player on this issue in DC. No one else, not Reid, not Bernanke nor Paulson, and not GWB can get enough GOP senators on board to get this thing passed. He has the power to dictate the terms to his liking. And if he pushes for a smaller amount, I don’t think anyone can tell him otherwise.

McCain will have a pretty good hand when he’s sitting at the White House table tomorrow morning.

McCain forges a more sensible deal in DC, saves the economy, and then heads down to Oxford to clean Obama’s clock in the debate. Not a bad game-changer. Again.

Has it ever occurred to you that it is just the right thing to do? Nothing political at all?

Of coure it is “just the right thing to do.”

But it shows that McCain knows the right thing to do and tht BO really does not.

I would love to know how many hours BO sleeps tonight.

I doubt more than 3 hours.

He is in a box.

The devils in the details as they say. As far as hurting or helping McCain lets look at the facts. The McCain/Paling ticket has the support of most Republicans, that’s a fact.
They also have acquired at the very least 30% of the Hillary supporters who were going to vote democrat. The independents like Mc/Palin better than Obummer by at least 60 to 40%.
What does that leave obama really? I mean aside from these silly polls that try to manipulate people. Obama wont get over 75% of the Dem voters, he wont get over 40% of independents and none of the republicans. That leave the undecideds who generally vote middle of the road. Obama is done for, the media wont say it though Im sure they know it.

The contrast today alone was striking. McCain is ready to lead and Obama is ready to ___________ (fill in the blank).

Zero’s press conference was a joke! He had to admit that he called McCain, didn’t talk to McCain this morning, and McCain called him back this afternoon, he said he wasn’t going back to DC unless called, McCain then talks to Bush this afternoon after the WH press secretary said Bush had not asked for meeting, then the aides from the two talk, after that Bush calls Obama at 7:30 right before he speaks at 8:00 to ask him to return to DC and in his speech says he asked both to return. Synopsis of what happened.

The only leader I see is Sen John McCain.

It’s telling that Reid flipped out and tried to warn McCain away (in the way a politician with a 9% approval rating can tell someone with a 55% favorable rating or whatever what to do) this afternoon.

The day before Reid (and obviously the Obama campaign) thought it would be a good idea to get McCain up on Capitol Hill pushing to get Bush’s bailout passed so that the could tie McCain to Bush.

Now McCain is riding in to save the day and the Dems will be forced to go along. With Obama there to look on and see real leadership in action.

LOL. “Call me if you need me.”

So Bush, yes, Bush the evil ogre with the 30% MSM created approval rating calls him and he goes. LOL!

Where you been?

After the 57th state joined the union, inauguration day was moved back to November. Its a 10 year gig now.

Where is the 57th state anyway? I went to school before "no child left behind", and they forgot to tell me about 51 through 57.

Basically. I think that's why we're seeing this screwy polls with the thin GOP, heavy Dem samples. The media assumes that the market turmoil and the bailout discussion will favor the Dem, so they astroturf their polls to provide support for their stories.

Lets just hope some sort of solution comes out of this. I also hope some people go to jail and get called out on mismanagement . Most of all I hope McCain tells it like it really is meaning that people were “forced” to give loans to people who couldn’t ever pay it back.I know here in NJ people were getting home loans without even showing proof of income.North Jersey is filled with 500K and up condos and ever moron and slacker on the street has one.All without a dime to their names. if you can’t afford it you don’t get it , simple.
