Former Marine lance corporal, Justin Sharratt, files suit against Congressman John Murtha.

Second defamation suit to be filed by a Marine who Murtha said “murdered innocent civilians in cold-blood”. Sharratt is a constituent of Murtha in Pennsylvania’s 12th District. Press conferences tomorrow.

I found FR from the link on Drudge Report in January, 1998, when the Lewinsky scandal broke. I changed screen names a couple of times early on before settling on “Mr. Jeeves.”

I love these threads - haven't seen some of these old names in awhile. As a relative n00b (10 years earlier this month) I remember...I remember the Ash Alerts, the "close yer tags" and "No Italians" posts, the cries of "disruptor" before the word "troll" was even invented, Eschoir and Batjack and Deep In the Hurtgen Forest and Classy Green-Eyed Blonde. God bless Chief Negotiator (peace...pipe) and Tonk and all the others who have passed through this wonderful place.

I found FR during the Whitewater and Monica thing, which, for the really old hands, explains my nick. I do believe it's saved my sanity. Such as the latter is...

After I found my true home at FR, I realized how stiff and regimented it was at L. Didn’t have any problems with ol’ Trixie and I still like her a lot, but she let her site be moderated by a couple of shrews who tossed you off if you dared voice a dissenting opinion from their own. I still read her Must Reads of the Day, but don’t bother with the member threads.

Well I think perhaps it about Matt Drudge talking about on his radio show or his book my memory is kinda hazy on that

I remember hearing about how Freepers told Al Gore get f*** out of Dick Cheney crib I said to myself I got hang out with these people

I first hear about FR because of that after my cousin told me Smelly Cub fan who refuse take a bath
