Freeper nuvista made an excellent catch of an AP poop-and-scoot on Laura Bush and Sarah Palin:

I saw the interview on CNN. The AP story is - quel surprise! - totally distorted. The infobabe first reminded Laura that she had been in favor of Condi Rice being either the VP or even the Presidential nominee. Laura affirmed that this had been her desire. Then, infobabe brought up Sarah Palin’s name and noted, (paraphrasing) “well, she doesn’t have as much foreign policy experience”. Laura replied (again paraphrasing), “well, no one really has as much as Condi”. Then, Laura added, “but John McCain’s with her and he has a great deal of experience”. Total distort job! Laura is very well-spoken and seems to choose her words very carefully. She in no way was saying that Sarah “lacks experience”, but the approach was in comparison to the sitting Secy of State/ex-Nat’l Sec Advisor.
AP sucks!!!

Holy carp! I remember reading the thread with the AP story with many posters dumping on Laura but also several reminding us to consider the source. No way did I think the reporter was as far off as this thread shows. A TOTAL fabrication. 1st degree journalistic malpractice. A firing offense in any legitimate newsroom.

I’ve been a long-time lurker and occ’l poster on FR and I’ve learned so much from this extended community.
