I'm sure many Freepers have enjoyed reading posts by Common Tator. He's been a fixture on sites like FreeRepublic for years and always offers thoughtful and accurate insight on news and politics.
Common Tator has survived bouts with cancer in the past and beat huge odds before. But now he faces his largest challenge yet.
From Common Tator "Today I met with the doctor to hear the latest news. My cancer has spread to both lungs and my liver. It is also in at least 4 lympth nodes."
There is a blog set up for friends of Common Tator to post their support for him. If you have time tonight, please take the time to click on this link Comments for Commontator and leave a good word or two for him.

Thanks for being here with your insights and wisdom, FRiend.
I was to have the fluid removed from the area between my outer and inner lug walls yesterday at 11:00Am. When they examined me on the operating table they found only a small amount on the bottom part of my left lung. It was not enough and was too dangerous to remove so they did not remove it.
Monday at 10:00AM I start massive CHEMO. It is the same CHEMO they gave me 11 years ago. It worked very well back then and the Oncologist says it should work well again.
My biggest problem is I have little lung capacity left. Just walking across a room leaves me out of breath and panting.
But if the tumor in my lung is greatly reduced by the CHEMO, I may be able to breathe better.
Again thanks for all the love prayers and support. You will never know what all the support means to me. And no matter what happens I am ready to face whatever lies ahead.
Thanks again for all your prayers and support.
Ray
