McCain spokesman Brian Rogers fired back that Obama did not reach McCain Wednesday morning.
"Senator Obama phoned Senator McCain at 8:30 a.m. this morning but did not reach him," Rogers said in a statement. "The topic of Senator Obama's call to Senator McCain was never discussed. Senator McCain was meeting with economic advisers and talking to leaders in Congress throughout the day prior to calling Senator Obama. At 2:30 p.m., Senator McCain phoned Senator Obama and expressed deep concern that the plan on the table would not pass as it currently stands. He asked Senator Obama to join him in returning to Washington to lead a bipartisan effort to solve this problem."

I listened on radio, and I got the same impression. It sounded like he was lying.
Well he better review the McCain-Couric interview tonight because McCain said hussein called him this morning.

What the McCain camp is saying, is that Obama called but he didn’t talk to McCain. He left a message.

I got the sense with the stuttering and constant “clarifying” of the time line that this guy was lying on the fly, like experienced bullshitters usually do. A good high school principal could probably vouch for this observation.

When McCain called him back ...by OBAMA’S OWN ADMISSION WHEN PRESSED BY REPORTERS...Obama said that McCain did ask him to go to Washington with him and did say that he wanted to delay the debates. Obama did not want to do this and told McCain to wait until after they made a joint statement. yeah ok ...way to go Obama...pitch a hissy because McCain had the audacity not to follow your directive. You know about audacity dont ya Ob? Audacity to assume that you could tell another candidate what to do for one....audacity to put it out there as if he blindsided you with his decision.

Exactly! Obama has been caught lying yet again, because in his press conference he specifically said that he TALKED to McCain at 8:30 AM, that HE called McCain if I remember correctly, and that it was a JOINT decision to suspend the campaign, etc. etc. etc.
Rogers clearly is saying here that is NOT true, Obama busted yet again.
So basically, McCain is reaching across the line to solve the problem, and Obama is still pointing fingers. I guess that is how an Obama presidency would be. He would be blaming Bush, the republicans and those “angry gun owners” for everything that is wrong until his term is up.
If that is “change and Hope”, this country doesn’t need Obama at all
