Davis suspended getting money from his consulting business at the beginning of 2006 when he went to work for McCain so don’t see why he would be toast unless there is something we don’t know.
This is Sen McCain’s way of saying — I am putting My Country First.
Apparently Davis didn’t tell McCain about the retainer. I suspect that there are some people inside the campaign who are absolutely furious about that.
