You have an extremely short memory. Sen McCain pushed the surge in Iraq as a way to win and has been one of the chief voices in the Senate against pork spending for years. Shame you are so shortsighted that you forgot two of the most important issues.

He also called for overhaul of Wall Street which was ignored. Sen John McCain is one of the biggest fiscal conservatives on the Hill — obviously you don’t follow politics. Any Conservative will tell you on the military and pork spending McCain leads.

His strategy may yet work, but to suddenly cast McCain as a champion of conservatism is a stretch by any means. I follow politics plenty. You seem to forget: voting against the tax cuts, the gang of 14, comprehensive immigration reform (with the help of Teddy Kennedy), legislature on torture, campaign finance reform (with the help of Russ Feingold), support of legislature on global warming, and this is just off the top of my head.
