LaBruzzo: Sterilization plan fights poverty

"Worried that welfare costs are rising as the number of taxpayers declines, state Rep. John LaBruzzo, R-Metairie, said Tuesday he is studying a plan to pay poor women $1,000 to have their Fallopian tubes tied.

"We're on a train headed to the future and there's a bridge out," LaBruzzo said of what he suspects are dangerous demographic trends. "And nobody wants to talk about it."

LaBruzzo said he worries that people receiving government aid such as food stamps and publicly subsidized housing are reproducing at a faster rate than more affluent, better-educated people who presumably pay more tax revenue to the government. He said he is gathering statistics now. "

Pay them an additional $1000? How about just cutting their “benefits” aka handouts altogether if they don’t comply? I’m sick of seeing women with 5,6,7, and even 8 illegimate children sitting on their butts not doing anything postivie to contribute to society.

Margeret Sanger, the mother of Planned Parenthood, thought just like this. It is wrong to abort babies, it is wrong to sterilize people based on the value that we give to their lives. G-d is the ultimate judge on who should exist and why.

Excellent point.
The welfare rolls would shrink significantly if people were forced to get out and work. Welfare should be limited to 12 months,no longer.During that time,a recipient could get training to get a job, food stamps, housing and child care during training. If the recipient becomes pregnant during the year’s period before finishing training and finding gainful employment, they automatically get cut off and are not eligible for benefits from that period on.They get one crack at welfare and that’s it-no more. If the system gets tough, it will put more people to work....but we all know that will never happen, because then what would the social workers and racemongers do for a living? Racial strife and victimization is a million-dollar business.

If they try to do this then they are in for a big surprise when the ambulance chaser lawyers start sueing because their clients rights were taken from them when they were tricked into doing this for the money. Very bad idea!

Better to reward not having more kids than to let them abort or neglect their children.

True, plus the damRats need their voter base dependent on the government so they’ll have job security.

Personally, I don’t think people who live on the guv’ment dole should be allowed to vote.

Our Constitution made sure the ability to vote was a privilege, not some universal right.
