Local campaign offices call them and tell them you want to volunteer:
Someone must have put a gun to Todd’s head if he’s reporting that McCain is leading if only slightly. He has a knack for overreporting minor good news for his tootsie roll hero and ignoring any good news for McCain.
Plus Chuch Todd’s wife is a Dem operative in VA and he always schills for her candidates. In fact, back when he was at National Journal running the Hotline, he’s the one who blew “macaca” up into a media sensation to take down George Allen while his wife was working for the Webb campaign.
It seems like to McCain Campaign has been asleep the last few days. They are missing an opportunity to let the public know that McCain/Palin are the answer to the current financial crisis. I have not see a new ad from the campaign in several days. Have they given up? If they are going to go on the attack they better get in gear and start moving soon.
I disagree. McCain has responded. In fact, CNN was actually talking about it yesterday at lunch wherein new ads by McCain was tying BO to this mess. Furthermore, our lovely Biden has now thrown under the bus all of those in the coal industry.
