Sanlu claims appalling if true: Fonterra

Claims a dairy company knew of China's tainted milk scandal eight months ago and lied about it would be appalling if true, Fonterra chief Andrew Ferrier says.
At the release of Fonterra's annual results on Wednesday, Ferrier was swamped by questions about the Chinese dairy company Sanlu, which is 43 per cent owned by Fonterra.
So far at least four children have died after drinking powdered milk tainted with the chemical melamine, 54,000 have fallen ill and about 13,000 have been admitted to hospital with kidney problems.
A Chinese government investigation found Sanlu knew of complaints about their milk products since December and lied about it, the country's official China Daily news reported.
"Dairy giant Sanlu Group lied about its contaminated baby milk formula for eight months, while tens of thousands of infants got ill," it reported.

Hmm... with 20 million babies born in China each year, that 54,000 is only the number of babies born in China Each Day!
Crap. 20 mil is the population of Australia. And China births that each year. Holy smokes. That’s almost incomprehensible.

Kill off the Chinese government?
Don't be fooled into believing that they had nothing to do with it, and weren't aware of the cost cutting measures used.
The Dairy industry in China has been on the verge of collapse for some time now. You can Garauntee the Chinese government knew what was going on, and even when reports of children getting sick and dying started rolling in, they kept quiet about this practice to avoid a panic and potential collapse of thousands of dairy farmers on the verge of bankruptcy.
It's LAUGHABLE that the Chinese government is pretending to be innocent and not been involved.
The Chinese government needs to put something in the male populations beer instead of the baby milk, even though its amazing that men with such tiny packages can impregnate anything in the first place...

Seriously, what in the heck does the population of China vs. Australia have to do with contaminated baby’s milk? Are you saying that not enough commie babies are sick enough to warrant concern - after all they birth that many babies in “one day” so it’s not THAT BAD!

People need to WAKE UP. China is NOT our friend, and never was... Our kids and grandkids will indeed be dying on battlefields fighting the Chinese if we don’t stop the stupidity soon.
We are funding the military buildup of a nation that will have no qualms killing us if they can, regardless of the economic cost to themselves for doing it.
China’s been around for 2000+ years, and will be around for 2000 more regardless of whether the US is or not.
Actually, it is worse than that. Our children and grandchildren will be Chinese slaves. In China, 120 boys are born for every 100 girls. The Chinese in the future will be importing millions of sex slaves as soon as they can.

The population of Aust is 20 million people. Those 20 million people need to Eat, shower, shave, live in dwellings, use electricity, drive on roads, buy furniture, etc.
Do you Comprehend that number? That all of the cities in Australia need to be duplicated EACH YEAR to house the increasing Chinese population. That’s a MASSIVE undertaking.
I don’ know what city you live in, but can you imagine an entire new York being built Each year.
Did you know they want to build 500 coal-powered power stations within the next 10 years. That’s the average of one new power station a week.

As for number of ill children. Well, even more perspective, around 150,000 people die each and every day on this planet. Hundreds of thousands more become ill from Something or other. Is the illness of Any of those 54,000 Chinese babies any more important than the illness of anyone else on the planet? Such as maybe your own children - or even yourself, or fellow countrymen. Is it any more important than the children who maybe got killed by a hit & run driver on the way home from school?
Why should those Chinese babies get all the concern over other babies? Just because of their number? Should we be more concerned over 54,000 Chinese babies than say, 10 babies in the New York Mothers Hospital who have come down with something from the hospital itself and are now ill? Why? Just because the media Chooses that news item for us?
