AURORA (MyFOXColorado.com) - An 11-year-old in Aurora says his first amendment rights are being trampled after he was suspended for wearing a homemade shirt that reads "Obama is a terrorist's best friend."
The fifth grader at Aurora Frontier K-8 School wore it on a day when students were asked to wear red, white and blue to show their patriotism.
Good for this kid! Way to stick to your guns!

How left can they be...they asked the kids tro show their patriotism by wearing red, white and blue. That shirt was designed to provoke a reaction. Seems to me dad's looking for a law suit.

The writing on the kid’s T-shirt is entirely accurate.

Wear some aborted baby t-shirts too. Let liberals and kids see what these monsters defend. I've had it with this touchy feely crap but when it comes to the REALITY of what they are about, then this other standard of decency kicks in.

The “LOOK” now that is something that ought to be outlawed. It is beyond cruelty
The shirt was designed to make a statement. Most significant statements do provoke some form of reaction.
If we limit people to insignificant statements only, then we really don't have freedom of speech.
The shirt wasn't obscene, or racist. It doesn't advocate violence or harming others.
Eleven does seem a bit young to have strong political opinions, but it appears the kid made the shirt himself, and stood by the opinions when confronted, so it's hard to say they aren't his own opinions as much as any persons opinions are their own.
Does the school ban all political slogans on shirts during school hours? If so that might be a reasonably appropriate ban to avoid disruption.
However, if they allow some political shirts, then the teachers have no business banning this one because it conflicts with their own beliefs or simply because it upset some other unruly children.
If the problem is a few other children get disruptive in response to the shirt, suspend those children.
If the problem is a teacher gets upset, tell the teacher to get over it of find another job.
I’m sorry, but in the fifth grade a child is ten or eleven. How strongly can a ten year old really feel about this? Though I may agree with these people (outside of actually naming your child Daxx, ughh!) it just looks to me like somebody using their child as a mouthpiece. It is like when I see these people with five year olds with mohawks. Yeah, like that was his idea.
