Not at all. This is a diplomatic press opportunity. No need to have the press pepper her with irrelevant questions. I expect she will be let loose shortly after the VP debate. Frankly, its McCain I worry about shooting from the hip.

It’s a great decision. When she does something like this she marginalizes the mediabots, looks decisive, gains respect in the eyes of the world leaders AND the US voters, and shows she will do the right thing no matter who thinks what, which is what people are looking for this year.

I strongly disagree. Letting “journalists” in would be akin to chasing rejection & frankly, they need her more than she needs them right now. She’s in a good position to renegotiate more favorable terms with a hostile entity. She’s softening the battlefield, so when she’s ready to engage it will be on her terms, not theirs.
