This came down as an "alert" from the AP...the latest whine from the Drive Bys.
Palin, while in New York, is meeting with Afghan President Hamid Karzai and Colombian President Alvaro Uribe. The meetings are scheduled for Tuesday.
The press was told photogs and a camera crew could go in, but no so-called journalists who pretend to be reporters.
Can someone post the crybaby picture?
I think everybody at the UN is fully aware of this. The idea for making sure the "reporters" were not allowed in probably arose in that venue as the steam does from a hot kettle of water.
Yes, years of being the media's darling have really helped McCain, haven't they?
Gates is right, were we talking about the 1950s. Today's media is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Democratic Party, and it must be opposed in the same manner.
There should be no closed door meetings. Closed door meetings involving government officials has brought us nothing but disaster.
Outside of meetings involving national security issues, I personally feel *all* meeting involving those in government should be recorded, monitored and made public in real time.
Free press? Sure!
Free from restraint to publish? Yes, usually.
Free to intrude wherever and whenever they please? Like a self-appointed fourth branch of government? No. The constitution makes no such guarantee, and based on their behavior lately, they don’t deserve favors.
“Lord, please, please let it be your will that this woman gets elected.”
Amen to that! The Lord is raising up prayer warriors all over America to pray for the right outcome of this election and for the protection of McCain, Palin, and their families.
GO SARAH!!!
Absolutely.
Gates is wrong and Paling is right?
IRT this, I trust his instincts above hers.
Good. Obviously they take these meetings seriously ....unlike some candidates who use such meetings as nothing more than photo ops.
Well, they’ve certainly turned into the enemy.
I love it.
Permission to steal it?
LOL! That is too cute! That’s the first time I’ve seen a “hissy fit baby”! Cute indeed!
Hey, photogs, and camera crews are allowed in. Just not the talking heads that want to interrupt her meetings just so they can score points with their political masters.
I actually approve of this, doesn't bother me in the least, and I don't think thinking Americans will mind it either.
The meeting is not closed door. Cameras are allowed.
Reporters are not. I assume the video will be viewable.
We do not need the media telling us what we see.
If you want to know what happened, watch the video?
If you think they are the enemy, what kind of strategy is it to hide from them?
Just Dang!
Palin/ CNN walkout ping
I fail to see how I am better informed listening to a “reporter” editorialize and in between editorials, ask multi-parted, irrelevant questions—most of which were already answered in the subject’s original opening statement. If only the idiot “reporter” actually listened instead of pushing their slant. Suzzzzonnnn Malveaux comes to mind. Just once I’d like to see her go unhinged when someone calls her Suz-ann.

From Wikipedia: America Coming Together (ACT) was a liberal, political action, 527 group dedicated to get-out-the-vote activities. ACT did not specifically endorse any political party, but mostly worked on behalf of Democratic candidates. It was the largest 527 group in 2004 and was planning to be involved in future races. The group was primarily funded by Peter Lewis, GEORGE SOROS, and labor unions, especially the Service Employees International Union, and was led by Steve Rosenthal, a former political director of the AFL-CIO.
Oh dear...this might make the press not like her. /s
