Okay, so now what? The Secretary of the Treasury wants $700 Billion, that's BILLION with a BIG B to bailout the financial industry in America. I am not a financial wizard, but I do have a mortgage, fixed rate, 30 year. That was all I needed to really know when I got it. Barring some unforeseen disaster to myself or my employer, I should be able to pay it off on time and quite possibly ahead of schedule. But it looks like many millions of people across the fruited plain are not so "lucky". I emphasize "lucky" because former House Minority Leader Richard (Little Dick) Gephardt (D-MO) referred to people of substantial means as "Winners of Life's Lottery." Where do I buy a ticket, Dick? I have listened to several programs in the last few days doing a Post Mortem on the Banking Industry, especially the "government takeover" of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Wow, what an oxymoron! "Government Takeover"! That's a hoot! They were totally in the control of government all along, and from the hallowed halls of Congress, no less! I have seen that over that last couple of years, Republicans, and especially John McCain, have warned the powers that be, that the mortgage industry was on a precipice, ready to fall. They even went so far as to initiate legislation to fix or at least head off a disaster that was sure to come. And every time, Democrats stood in the schoolhouse doorway, blocking said legislation. Barney Frank (D-MA) in the House and Christoper Dodd (D-CT) in the Senate would manipulate and pull whatever strings necessary in order to kill the bill from whatever source. I need only look to the money trail to see why. The Democrats, Frank, Dodd, Hillary Clinton, Obama, et al, were using the two institutions as their personal campaign piggy banks. This one issue should be enough to dis qualify both OBAMA and HILLARY CLINTON from ever seeking elected office again, much less the Presidency itself! This scandal has historic proportions, but not just because of its size and scope, but by the breathtaking corruption that is being swept under the largest rug in history! The MSM is busy mining for parking tickets in Alaska by the Palin kinfolk when the most massive fraud and corruption scandal in history is unfolding right before their eyes..............

Comments? Sure I have them, starting with my three young kids are going to grow up in an entirely different United States than the wife and I did... And that sucks big time.
That statement, in and of itself, is scary, in that we can write it and it be true......
Common sense, Logic and Reason will prevail, despite the best efforts of The Left to prove otherwise. Any economic system that is not conducive or receptive to those three things will fall like a comet into Jupiter’s atmosphere...........
