“The Koh-i-noor is a round cut but at 105 carats it is smaller than the potential size of the new find.
It originated in India but was seized by Britain as a spoil of war in 1849. It supposedly brings good luck to female owners and misfortune or death to any male who wears or owns it.”
Wow.
Doesn’t really make ya wanna be king of England, does it?
It is good to be king................
is that Mrs Kobe Bryant?
Gem Diamonds says that initial examination suggests that it has a flawless centre and could produce a 150-carat round-cut white diamond worth tens of millions of pounds. It would dwarf the 105-carat Kohinoor in the Crown Jewels.
In 1852, under the personal supervision of Victorias consort, Prince Albert, and the technical direction of James Tennant, the diamond was cut from 186 1/16 carats (37.21 g) to its current 105.602 carats (21.61 g), to increase its brilliance. Albert consulted widely, took enormous pains, and spent some £8,000 on the operation, which reduced the weight of the stone by a huge 42% - but nevertheless Albert was still dissatisfied with the result. The stone was mounted in a tiara with more than two thousand other diamonds.

No, It’s Mrs. A-Rod...............
Makes you wonder just how much diamond material is in the rock about 30 miles down.
What struck me about this picture, besides how beautiful the woman was, was who in their right mind would let a woman hold a diamond that large? IF you are lucky enough to get it back, you now have ruined it for every man on the planet.. this is the new standard all jewelry we buy will be measured against.
Won't you need two to make earrings?
Good point
wife: honey, i saved you $500 today!
husband: wow! babe, how did you do that?
wife: well, i bought a $2,000 mink, but it was on sale for 25% off.
:^)
Excuse me while I go add that little bauble to my Christmas list!
A huge amount. Now all you need to do is figure out how to go get it!
Oh my gosh.. I swear our wives talk.. my wife uses that exact same line all the time. Last weekend my wife saved me $250 buy buying a $500 purse on sale for $250.. not kidding..
Better ask your boss for some overtime before the holidays, then...........
If she keeps saving you money like that, you'll soon be broke!...........

Don't let it fall on the ground in some parts of this town, or someone will try to smoke it. |
