Sometimes Joe Biden, bless his good intentions, doesn't know when to stop. I won't recount past instances of this I'll leave that to the Republican National Committee but the most recent is a painful example of what happens when a short answer will do and you give a long-winded one instead.
At a rally in New Hampshire, a questioner actually expressed his pleasure that Barack Obama had chosen Biden as his running mate over Hillary Clinton, a sentiment not universally shared among Democrats. Biden, to his credit, wanted to be sure that no one would later say that he had in any way questioned the New York senator's qualifications.
"Make no mistake about this," Biden responded. "Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. Let's get that straight. She's a truly close personal friend, she is qualified to be president of the United States of America; she's easily qualified to be vice president of the United States of America ..." That was the place to stop.
Biden, however, known for his occasional loquaciousness, did not stop. He then made news, questioning the judgment of the would-be president who had placed him on the ticket instead of Hillary. "And quite frankly," Biden concluded, "it might have been a better pick than me."
It's not that I disagree. She might have been. But at this point, that's an argument that helps Republicans, not Democrats, and helps McCain, who did not pass over a woman whose qualifications are open to question, as opposed to Obama, who passed over a woman whose qualifications are not.

The choice of Biden definitely reveals loads about Barry Hussein. Unfortunately, the Obama-bats are too tone deaf to recognize it.
Sorry, Susan. You lost me right there.
Gov. Palin is eminently qualified to be VP or President, based on past choices. Sen. Clinton claims to be qualified because she lived in the White House for eight years, yet they mock Gov. Palin with the line, "I can see Russia from my house!"
Hypocrites.
Candidate H. Ross Perot picked a former military man, Vice Admiral James Stockdale, as his running mate in 1992. The most memorable thing Admiral Stockdale said in the debates was, “Who am I? Why am I here?” The impression was, either severe amnesia, or a “senior moment”.
It would be hard for Joe Biden to beat that remark, but bless his heart, he is surely trying for the crown.
“The most memorable thing Admiral Stockdale said in the debates was, Who am I? Why am I here? “
Biden should remember that response. It would be useful if he wants out for health reasons.
Biden is a loose canon. Biden needs a handler like Michelle has.
And when they asked him if he supports the women's right to choose, his answer was 'yes.....period', when he was given 90 seconds to answer and everybody was just looking around because they had no idea what to do with the extra time.
The same can be said about most liberals.
Even when I read stories written by Estrich, I cannot help but hear obnoxious shrill voices in my head.
Only because people are idiots. It was obvious to me when he said it that these were rhetorical questions meant to introduce the topic of explaining who he was to the public.
Biden makes a gaffe and the Republicans, conservative talk radio and the internet notice. When Palin makes any statement that may have any inconsistency with anything she may have previously said, Democrats, TV networks, print press and left-wing internet sites make it front page news.
Palin does not even have to make a gaffe. When her e-mails were hacked there was no sympathy towards Palin and the invasion of privacy, instead they were only interested to see if there was any incriminating e-mails. Even when there was nothing there, the MSM created a conspiracy that Palin might have been conducting official business with a personal account to avoid a paper trail.
“I CAN SEE RUSSIA FROM MY HOUSE”
Anyone who can say that, certainly has the motivation and experience to help protect this nation from it’s biggest enemy.
IIRC, Obama visited 57 states, but wasn’t allowed to visit those two ‘funny’ states that aren’t connected to the mainland. He would have told us the names of those two states, but he didn’t have his “RISK” game board handy.
And this is just where Estrich's reasoning is defective. Hillary is not qualified to be president. She is not qualified because she is a socialist and a liberal. And here I am defining liberal as one who is on the wrong side of every issue which has even a trace of moral or ethical content.
And, conversely, this is exactly why Palin is qualified.
the MSM TOTALLY FABRICATED NEWS ARTICLES that Palin might have been conducting official business with a personal account to avoid a paper trail.
I can see why the MSM thought this was true.
CRAIGSLIST, MYSPACE, FACEBOOK are the popular choice of communication for many of the Democrat Politicians.
“Even when I read stories written by Estrich, I cannot help but hear obnoxious shrill voices in my head.”
Whenever I hear her name, I think ESTRogen *ITCH.
LOL!!!! I have to keep reminding myself to dislike her for her political views only...dislike her for her political views only...dislike her for her political views only...
McCain's choice of Palin not only pulls the rug out from those who would maintain he's a Bush clone, but it also underscores the fact that McCain is comfortable enough in himself that he doesn't see strong, bold, women as a threat.
Looking at the women in his life and his campaign — Cindy McCain, Sarah Palin, Meg Whitman, his Mom — tells me that he's the farthest thing from a chauvinist. It takes strong men to appreciate strong women I think.
Barak, on the other hand, seems to — with the exception of Michelle — push women away or be dismissive of their opinions. Biden is a pick that guarantees that Barak won't be overshadowed. In effect, Barak has a thin skin, and is insecure with himself. It shows in the way that he doesn't know how to respond when attacked by Palin. I think Barak knows he's weak, and he couldn't let that be exposed by picking someone like Hillary.
==> “Biden is a loose canon.” <==
Such a DELICIOUS malapropism!
A “canon” (vs “cannon”) is a rule or especially body of rules or principles generally established as valid and fundamental in a field or art or philosophy. Biden is a first-order, out of control motormouth who treats words like potato chips - he can’t use just one!
Thanks for that!
"There is something happening with women voters in America, maybe not among the most elite women who blog on liberal Web sites, but among women of almost every political stripe who may decide the election this fall. They identify with Sarah Palin and are recoiling at the cheap shots that Democrats, who have no reason to be so desperate but are acting as if they do, are lobbing in her direction.
Women voters are being turned off by the attacks upon Sarah and the Democrats' condescension and contempt may well cost them the election. Not to mention the over the top sexism of their attacks on her qualifications. And yes, the Democrats are desperate!
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
Listen carefully when she speaks. She takes these deep breaths between phrases and it drives me crazy. Just can’t stand to listen to her after I noticed that. Now everyone who reads this will notice it the next time she’s on Fox.
