A week after a high-profile send-up of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on "Saturday Night Live," the NBC comedy show returned to making fun of the Alaskan governor in a skit where New York Times reporters sought to probe the possibility Palin's husband, Todd, was having sex with the couple's own daughters.
"What about the husband?" asked a Times reporter during a mock assignment meeting for the paper. "You know he's doing those daughters. I mean, come on. It's Alaska."

Obviously, they were cloaking the lame “criticism” about the NYT in order to suggest to the public AGAIN that the Palins are white trash rubes.
Its beyond me why the Right consistently wants to give quarter to our enemies.
Maybe its a compulsion to be with the “in” crowd, be seen as sophisticated by the masses....who knows...could be like battered wife syndrome.
Typical vulgar, moraless crap from the American left.
Maybe we are seeing the results of propaganda in TV. Lowering the resistence to free sex, gay issues, depravity. I have heard that the next onslaught will be child pedophilia.
Guess I will have to cut out all tv except Fox.

And I would submit to you that that is exactly what was done during the skit -using satire as the tool.

Why would they do that? She wasn’t the target of the satire.
The loony left was the target of the satire.
So they used the whackiest example of what the loony left has been throwing out in their hissy fits as they descend into Palin induced madness.

I’ve suggested no such thing. And we disagree on this point that their family was abused.
The NY Times reporters certainly were abused.

That was part of the joke.
Journalism school is supposed to teach their students to only report facts that can be verified.
The skit showed how these whackos violate that rule all the time.
