Sneed hears the health of U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy, whose bravura in the face of a cancerous brain tumor resulted in a surprise appearance and speech at the Democratic National Convention, is sadly going downhill.
Backshot: "He gave every ounce of courage to attend that convention, where an attack of kidney stones caused him to be delivered by ambulance," said a source.
Update: "And although he still goes sailing every day at 2 p.m., he is getting weaker and weaker. He's a very ill man. It's been said he could have three weeks, three months or three years . . . but I wouldn't bet three years."

The thousands of FReepers who are silent on this thread may just be agreeing with you. Many will say nothing bad about a dying man, so they remain silent.
The wind fills all sails.
But all boats are not heading to the same port...
The Rats will politicize his death and make it a monument for Universal Health Care and socialist policies. Expect a full blown DNC ass kissing festival in the hopes of drumming up votes and support for the Messiah. I think we need to talk about Mary Jo and what a creep Tubby Kennedy was.
I have always thoroughly detested the man. And I take no pleasure in his plight. Yes, he was rotten and worthless both in politics and personal life and I will not say anything nice about him after he is gone like so many Republicans will.
It will be Caroline! Bet on on it!
LOL
So basically I'll be banned if I change my tagline to read,
"You can never have too many Dead Kennedys"
I thought Romney moved to California.
Princess Di got the coverage Mother Theresa deserved but died at the same time and the media choose a sinner like me over a saint like her! Water seeks it’s on level.
Thanks for the news, all other comments withheld.
It’s not possible to predict definitely how long he will survive. My brother was diagnosed with a brain tumor in June 2005. The doctors were able to remove only 20% of it during surgery. He had radiation, but they didn’t hold out much hope. The doctors said he had about six months to live. He is still with us. Still walking and talking, although he has memory problems and tires easily.
A friend died from same illness....not pleasant to witness....wonder how much time he spend using a cell-phone....
I wonder if the DNC is encouraging him to die just before the election for the sympathy vote?
“For his sake, I hope he makes a thorough general confession while he is still lucid.”
Too late. That drunken slob hasn’t been lucid in decades.
Same cancer got my brother-in-law last year. He was diagnosed with it in 2003, and they went in and removed it. It was in remission for about 4 years, but when it came back it came with a vengeance. We barely had time to get down to see him after finding out it had come back. There was nothing they could do this time.
Good grief. Hatefulness hurts you more than it does the one hated.
Chill out. Life is better than dwelling on evil wishes for others.
If you enjoy dwelling on hatred and vitrol, DU might be a perfect site - there is so much of it there.
But, there is an awful lot we can do to win this election rather than wasting time on hate on the internet.
Teddy will not be reading this and no one else cares.
Maybe you can forgive him—I can’t. Of course, I’m not sure who to blame: him or the voters who kept sending him back to the Congress. He was a man who rode the legacy of his better brothers all his life.
