So watch out, Michigan voters, union thugs are going to put the "outreach effort" squeeze on you.

That’s almost 18 cents per voter. They’re really pulling all the stops out for Obama.
To: Baladas
If those union workers are happy with their Gov. Granholm, they’ll love Obama.
Heaven help them.

That's a very small budget. The MI branch of the AFL-CIO is either lying or the reporter got the numbers wrong. They will go well over a million. Of course, they don't have payroll issues, they get their organizers and members to "volunteer."

...the union plans to spend $250,000 ...Having been a union member at one time it always pissed me off to know that some of my union dues were going to the Rats.
It also pissed me off having to listen to our union thug leaders lecture on the evils of Republicans at our union meetings.
I'll never join another union.

This is disgusting. Obama’s people have already spent close to a half billion dollars on this campaign. It’s beyond ridiculous what our election process has become. Just shameful.

Great use of union money—guess that is why workers in Michigan are suffering.

I was at the McCain Palin rally in Youngstown on Tuesday-they were introduced by the retired head of the AFL-CIO in the area, and there was a nice contingent of UAW workers from Lordstown with a “UAW FOR MCCAIN” banner at the rally

Wonder how happy they are about Obama ready to support a law for Union voters to be overseen by a union official while voting?

The Michigan AFL-CIO might have a tougher time with this project than it would appear. In 2004 George Bush lost Michigan 51/48 but got 37% of the union vote, which was 37% of the total. When you fold the 37% GOP vote over the total, you wipe out 37 points of the Democrat's 63 points per hundred voters. The net plus is just 26%. Closing the gap and creating a more significant voting block in what is arguably “union central” of America will take more work this year given the candidates. In 2004, White men backed Kerry in Michigan at a 44% rate. It is not very likely that barack mcgovern will get near that level given the bradley factor no one wants to talk about.
