Jewish Action Alliance | September 18, 2008 | Beth Gilinsky

Posted on 09/19/2008 7:32:54 AM PDT by Ziva

On Thursday, Sept 25, at 6pm in Manhattan, The American Friends Service Committee, Mennonite Central Committee, Quaker UN Office, Religions for Peace, World Council of Churches-UN Liaison Office will be honoring Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at an Iftar (dinner to break the day’s Ramadan fast).

At the same time, The Jewish Action Alliance, Stand With Us, the Israel Project, Americans for a Safe Israel, The Center for Security Policy, the Catholic League, Rabbi Potasnik from NY Board of Rabbis, the Traditional Values Coalition, and the Alliance of Iranian Women will hold an interfaith counter-rally to protest Ahmadinejad’s presence at the United Nations, and to oppose his nuclear weapons program and his outrageous threats against America’s ally, Israel.

Republican Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin has been invited to speak along with other politicians, Democrats and Republicans.

Please join us at the Hyatt Hotel, East 42nd St, near Lexington Ave and Grand Central Station, in Manhattan, at 5:30pm.

Send a message to the Mullahs in Iran!

I just read from my WJC news letter that Sarah Palin had been uninvited from the New York Rally. Is this the same rally? If not please let me know which organization it is so that I may move my doantions to it.

I'll be there. I enjoyed the last pro-Israel rally I attended outside the UN immensely.

I may even have to make a AHMADINEJAD = HAMAN banner.

Yes it was in Arutz Sheva that she was disinvited because of Democrats. Absolutely pathetic. I might start a thread on that.

It is tragic that her original invitation was withdrawn due to partisian politics. Iran and radical islam is the biggest threat to America, Israel and the world. The inability of the US and world to stand united only emboldens these groups. So very sad.

This is a counter-rally by the true friends of America and Israel. I believe it was organized by Beth Galinsky of The Jewish Action Alliance (of NYC). The other supporting organizations are Stand With Us, the Israel Project, Americans for a Safe Israel, The Center for Security Policy, the Catholic League, Rabbi Potasnik from NY Board of Rabbis, the Traditional Values Coalition, and the Alliance of Iranian Women.

I agree with that. But if I may, no one needs an invitation to stand on East 42nd St.

Wow...talk about going quickly from my lips (keyboard actually) to God's ear:

Yes we do...

Grand Hyatt NY to host Iran president

Penny Pritzker, Obama's Campaign Finance Chair and heir to the Hyatt hotel fortune is hosting this interfaith dinner.

Since the rally hosts decided to disinvite Palin, maybe she should start a protest in front of the Hyatt during the dinner and bring attention to this fact. I bet there are many Freepers in the area that would join her.

My Post #5

Then at the exact same time as this thread:

Actually that was my first response as well, BUT...I think she should start her own rally in front of the Grand Hyatt (Penny Pritzker, Obama’s campaign finance chair, is heir to the Hyatt hotel fortune) on Thursday night (September 25) where there will be an “interfaith dinner” with Iranian President Ahmadinejad.

My Post #4

Although it is more likely that it could just be that great minds think alike ; )

“World Council of Churches”

Why mainstream churches belong to this collection of leftist idiots is beyond my comprehension. Anyone can see that this is a refuge for extremists who want to use religion as a cover for their political opinions.

“whether she can come or not...the rally deserves to be supported”

...I never said it didn’t. It would certainly be a boost to the entire rally. Security concerns me.

Quakers are traitors. There isn’t a despot they won’t support as long as the despot supports soicalism/communism or considers America the enemy.

“will be honoring Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad”

One must assume that these groups endorse Ahmadinejad’s rants against Israel and the U.S.

Not surprising. As a whole, Quakers did not support our American Revolution. Many Quaker farmers surrounding Philadelphia made it difficult to get food in to support our army. That said, there are many individual Quakers who make very significant sacrifices for America.
