I called the Obama campaign about a week ago and asked the campaign to send him that question for me and let me know the answer.

To my surprise, she was very polite, helpful and friendly. She searched the Obama site for Ayers reference. ha! I told her that Obama would NOT put anything about him on his website. And I suggested that she go to Google and search for Obama Ayers. She did, and I heard her reading aloud "1960's radical activist", etc. I said "that's him!", and told her to please submit my question to Obama. She said she would and took my email addy and phone number. But SURPRISE! The only contact I have had from the Obama folks is that I got added to their Obama Campaign Propaganda email list! hahaha!

Somehow I don't think that I will hear from them on this. :)

I don't know why anyone would want to live in DC. You can smell the paranoia from miles away before you get there. So much secrecy and corruption and people afraid others will find out about it.

I sometimes wonder how many of the politicians were actually able to resist taking monetary "bennies" from their positions and just stayed to serve. I'll bet it was very few....especially with the horrible stuff their families have to go through....they probably think someone owes them for all the grief.

That all said...Bush had his own money already so I doubt he was allowed to be in the inner circle of any funny stuff going on.
